'Email does not match Serial key' error message when attempting Web Activation

Once again there is not Order CD button in any of my emails or in the links that are in the emails.

I am now on day 3 of trying to get this done.
Why is it so hard? seems ridiculous to me.

Have a look at the attached Image.
I marked all the things to click.

@Never Erase: If you got your inital Download Email, the Order CD Button ins right dead center in the email

After you went through the steps in the picture, fill in your details in the form that comes up, hit next and hope that it goes through. If not. Repeat …

BTW: I tested putting another one of my email accounts in the form. That works too ! So you seem to be able to relink your account temporarily to another email adress.

Hope that helps. I just saw that Pixologic responded to my inital Support Ticket after about 15 hours with an activation code. Not a bad response time in my opinion all things considered.

I did the re-order thing again on my first order, and progress…I did not receive an error this time…so next step will I be able to activate? Tune in next week…

Well the new activation key has the email does not match error on activation…soooooooo frustrating…

and now the activation server is down…are they still sending out new keys on top of this??

Don’t know if I’m doing this right, but all I’m getting is PAGE INVALID.

Same here. With the same vague response that they are working on it and will send me a mail once it is fixed again.

Then fix it!!

Well I got the 2nd failed serial number (so I have 3 lol), but they all give me the email error. I also tried changing my email address on the cleverbridge page, no luck. I even dug up my original ZB purchase (2005), and tried the emails there (actually from element5). Did not has this problem for ZB3.

It’s funny, I have the same email issue. I opened a new ticket yesterday. When I went to check the status on the support page, I saw that there was another ticket opened for the same issue back on Sept 14th, 2009 when upgrading to 3.5. :frowning:

I wonder if the new serial number needs to be updated in our profile. Currently, the old serial number\code from the last upgrade is still in place. I’ll try changing it to the new one that I received in the newest email and then try registering.

I’ll post my findings unless someone else wants to try it and post first.
(Warning, make sure to write down your old serial number so that you can reverse your actions if needed.)

Oh well, as everyone else has said, I can’t really complain since it is, after all, a free upgrade. Pixologic could be as evil as Autode… and charge soooooo much for upgrades… :wink:

Didn’t get the chance to try my theory. Pixologic support replied to my email by the time I got home from work!

I’m having same problem, but question is am I supposed to be using my current Email or the very old Email that I had when I purchased in 2008?

I was wondering the same thing. Since you didn’t get a chance to try it and I haven’t heard back on my ticket, I think I will try it…

I tried the other way for a day and half. Don’t know if I should revert my account info or not…

Hey guys mine started working mid-afternoon. Only one of the keys, so I just had to tag which one is the “good” one for reference. Both of my computers are GTG with ZB4 (and it was worth the wait).

I just tried it and it worked.

This is the worst upgrade experience I have ever had. Is anyone working the ‘The email address provided does not match with the serial key provided at the time of purchase’ problem? And, no, I don’t think the answer to the problem is to continually reload the activation page (with the email address and serial number) multiple times…I have tried that 20 times…It does not work! Should I strap some tin foil to my head too. Please fix this problem. And some advice: Test your upgrade system thoroughly before you unleash it on the end users. Good grief.

I have been trying to activate for five days.
Aurick has tried to help. But we haven’t been able to make it happen yet. Frustrating. Hope V4 is a good one.

But what to do If all this done but I didn’t get anyanswer to my email?! I’m waiting for this answer already 4 days.
