Very cool, thanks for sharing. Amazing work, you are very skilled sir. Nice to see zbrush used in conjuntion with wax sculpting.
You made me miss wax sculpting, thats how i used to do all my jewellery. I might dust off my instruments

Sorry I missed my self imposed deadline for the tutorial. I’ve had a bad cold. Its gonna be done tonight though. In the meantime, I wanted to follow up my Barbarian with the other huge Frazetta project I completed last year. Also licensed by the family and debuted at Comic Con in NY. It was done the same way as the Barbarian. Rough sculpt in ZBrush. Printed on my Airwolf. Then Silicone molds and recast everything in wax. Once all the detailing was done on the wax, I made master molds and casts with the help of Jeremy Monz. The master protoype was assembled and painted by Jim Rowell. It was an exhausting but extremely rewarding project. The final sculpt dimensions are 31" tall - 29" width - 15" depth. (79cm X 73cm X 38cm)

more stuff
jeez these things are massive! great work
Hey guys here is the next tutorial. I cover scaling and hollowing parts for 3d printing As a disclaimer, it’s a bit technical and tedious but I’m trying to be as thorough as possible. I hope you guys find it useful. It’s stuff that I do nearly every day so I can attest to it’s usefulness. Enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0k6cwP9_PM
Thinkin about printing this bad boy. Omega Red. Based on an old Jim Lee drawing…
This is part of a huge 1/4 scale Tarzan vs Silverback diorama that we will be printing very soon at ARH Studios. It’s gonna be enormous. The is sculpt was started by Alex Pereira about two years ago. I am now just getting around to finishing it.

Great work with this silverback.
Can I ask you how you did the fur ?
To do the fur, I made an insert mesh brush with about 10 strands of hair and drew them one by one over the entire surface. Then I dynameshed it all and modified it with the snakehook brush.
Anyway, here are some final renders. Thanks again to Alejandro Pereira for the awesome dynamic composition!! And check out the pic of me holding the partially printed silverback. The total printed height will be over 26 inches! (66cm) Thanks guys!!!
Some really gorgeous work! Love your Frazetta tributes, and Tarzan sculpt! Not too sure about the look of the gorilla fur, but everything else is just outstanding!
wauw! that’s one big abe… great sculpt.
looking forward to see the final output.

Here’s a Firestar sculpt I finished recently. A fun sculpt based on the old Marvel Universe cards.
