simply stunning. I love Delacroix’ work ( and Gericault’s) and this is simply mindblowing!
really nice work!
did you sculpt the last one asymmetrical right from the start?
Thanks. I blocked in the pose with symmetry to speed up the process, then I appended it to the bust and finished it without symmetry. That’s normally the way I work. Here is another render. My wife insisted on helping me render this because she normally doesn’t like my renders. haha I think she has pretty good taste. I should let her render all my pieces from now on.

Still shocking to see my stuff end up Top Row. There is so much great art being posted on here all the time. Thanks Pixologic. And thanks to Delacroix for the inspiration. Oh and my wife as well for putting up with my zbrush addiction. haha
Beautiful works!
You are right to send this one to the printer for a hard copy. Really nice work.
great work.
Interesting, but isn’t a lower eyelid is always recessed than the upper one? If not, a model may look like a fish.
…of “L’orpheline au cimetière” by the French genious Eugène D !
I’m so insanely busy! It has been too long since I updated this. It still seems hard to believe that 6 years ago I never thought I would catch on to this software. Now, not only do I use it every day at Blizzard, but I am now teaching it to college students. I guess it just goes to show what can happen if you work your butt off. Because that’s all did really. It took a lot of sleepless nights to get to this point. So here is some recent stuff.
First thing which has been a long time coming - My sculpt of Frazetta’s “Cat Girl” is finally going to be put in to production by Level 52 Studios.
It also appears that Level 52 is going to breathe life in to my sculpt of Frazetta’s “Fighting Man of Mars”… Super excited about this one
Also still picking away at this Delacroix study. I plan on having this milled out of wood.
I’ve been doing a ton of personal work too. Experimenting with forms and narrative. Revisiting old myths…
More personal stuff;
This Sculpt is based on Frazetta’s pen and ink drawings from Lord of the Rings
and more anatomy studies. I love sculpting without symmetry. I think there is no better way to establish excitement and drama in your forms. It forces your mind to think harder!
and some portrait work…

oh there’s also this… haha
I had a hand in bringing this Widowmaker statue to life for Blizzard Entertainment. As usual things like this always take a team and an incredible amount of patience and planning. Its an amazing group to work with. The cinematics team for the model, media team for the great photos and video. Arn Tsang, Billy Petras, Renaud Galand and the entire Overwatch Team. Dominic Qwek for the up res model, Laurel Austin for another stellar paint job, and Brian Fay for his sharp eye. I did the engineering, molding, casting and final hand pass. ZBrush plays an integral part in our entire process right down to the final engineering for print. Congrats to everyone involved. Really thrilled with how she turned out. patience pays off…
