Smashing work. The headpiece is wonderful. Maybe use the old AAHalf a bit more when doing test renders, to get rid of them jaggies.

I think the material of the crown is a bit too dark. Perhaps you could make
it brighter/more golden. But that is just my opinion

quickie of the shape of the chest/shoulder area-she’s supposed to be wearing a kind of linen robe with the necklace ornamental thing on top. this was done from scratch in about 1 1/5 hour, some extrusions and things done with xsi.

i’m not done with the bust yet but i thought i’d try out all the pieces together…i’m too curious she has too much specualr on her face and the shadows are too sharp i think, but i will change that later on…so here’s another test…hope i’m not boring you guys to death!!!
Nope, I’m not dead yet… In any case, keep the model nicely lit. To many models are hidden in their shadows. I agree with the specular values but that should not be a challenge for the queen of the render tree

Smashing work! The crispness of the pictograms on the headpiece is first class. But I do find my gaze drawn towards the middle grey band, with its inflate dot bumps. Maybe a touch more detail required there? The head and body are beautifully done.
It looks really great - but i still think the crown is a bit too dark…

WOW! I’ve reached my record…my thread has had over 3000 views! I am not done this piece yet, but I wanted to thank each one of you who has taken the time to stop and comment the work I’ve been posting…it’s so much easier to just click on a thread, look at it and go on, sometimes one does it while looking at even the best stuff…it means a lot to me that all of you took a minute or two to encourage me by leaving a comment or a couple of stars.
