I cant make any promises unless Tony starts learning 3ds Max.
We do plan to release many more 3ds Max DVDs and some will involve rendering and even zbrush so hopefully there will be something for everyone

WOW!!! This is exactly what i’m after, the render is stunning. I’m def gonna get this. Finding out how to render out like this seems to be a kind of dark art and no-one wants to give out their secrets lol
I actually learned a lot of how to do this by reading a Mental Ray rendering book for 3DS Max. I also read Master Zap’s blog a lot - mostly Max as well. I also read the VRay manual on their shaders to see what I could glean from it. At the time, I thought Vray seemed to have an edge in the skin rendering department, but I was able to figure out what needed to be tuned in Mental Ray to match VRay’s sss quality.

went to order the dvd today on download and in the order page selected region as UK but I live in N.Ireland and this is not in the drop down menu and cannot continue with the order with this field is left blank. Is there a way round this?

a bit off topic here but got the dvd and following along. 1 question, how do i activate mental ray in maya 2011??? driving me nuts here.

Junkie just go to Window-> Settings/Preferences -> Plugin Manager -> Mayatomr.mll, check Loaded and Auto Load.

Hey Tony I would love for you to make a dvd on sculpting. I believe the more you see how others work the better you will get with your own workflows. I know your probably going to be busy but if you can make one that would be nice.
