I completely second this. An in-depth sculpting DVD would be fantastic, considering your amazing abilities in the field.
Wow Tony…!! This is awesome. Very nice sculpt, texturing and of course amazing render. Your video training are incredible!! Top row work. Congrats!!
Cheers…
Thank you for the Zbrush tutorial! Great stuff. How does one come about to understand this kind of compositing in photoshop (a layer that makes the previous one less intense etc)? So we don’t just copy paste your workflow
Thank you!!!
Hello Tony… First of all I#m really a Big Fan of your Work/Character and DVD… !!! The Best Ever on this Topic !
Iv’been watching your DVD over and over again and i’m always again and again amazed !
But where i really have problems is understanding the PS - Part which you just scratched…okay i got it, that the epidermal Map needs a lotta noise and it#s got to be saturated as much as possible… but could you recommend a Book or DVD or Website/ Tutorial where the PS-painting is covered deeply… ?
Even Eric Keller doesn’t really explains this Topic “how to make a realistic epidermal Skin-Textures in Photoshop” in his Book Mastering Maya 2009.
Would be really glad if you or someone-else could help me with this one… !!!
Thx
Hello Tony,
One more question on this really hard Topic i find…
I didn’t get the part how to create the nifty trick the BackScatter Map as well ???
You say to “invert the normals, create an ambient Occlusion” but what do you meant with “then using that as the basis for the backscatter map” ?
Well i reversed the Normals ( dont know why ) and rendered a AO renderPass… but how can i get it out of maya in the UV layout format ?
Hope this question is not too stupid as well… ???
Thank you, ertan from Germany
