Fantastic as usual!!
Mindblowing.
Why did you choose Toolbag for render like this? Amazing result.
Turntable render in Toolbag would be also great to show
âŠhuman!
Youâre an inspiration man. Fantastic work. I love the lighting and the feel of the shots, specially the warm tones.
Love the concept and the execution is fantastic. Congrats!

Thanks so much guys!
@AbbY-Art - Thanks mate glad you like it!
@Totyo - Thank you I appreciate it!
@nebular - Thank you. I use marmoset because it is an awesome âlook devâ tool. once you have your materials and textures setup, playing with the lighting is just glorious!
@Namenlospplal - Thank you, it means a lot. Iâm glad you like the result!
@regmonroe - Thank you so much! Iâm glad you like it!
@MarioBlanco - Cheers! glad you like it.
As I promised, here is a very small breakdown of the lighting for this piece. I had to make the GIF very small in order to upload it, but you can check a larger version on my ArtStation here (bottom of the page).
I really appreciate all the feedback. Let me know if you are interested to see something else about this project!
Cheers.
Hello pablo, this is great work!
How did you manged to create the fibers from the cloth. Do you have some specific recommendations regarding create alphaplanes converted from these furstrips, especially for gameart?
I would then reuse two alphafibers for all cards. Do you have something else in mind?
Keep on creating great Artworks!
Many thanks,
Thomas
I love the quiet poise of the whole pose. Were you consciously referencing John Malkovich?
@Cody - Thanks! glad you like it. For the fibers on the cloth/scarf, I actually used fibermesh and played with the coverage and segments to keep a good balance between the look and the poly count.
@Rory_L - Thanks you! no, not really I didnât reference anything except the Chimpanzee head and the anatomy that I was originally using to study haha
I just wanted to drop you guys a line in here, because I just published a new tutorial on the ZBGs that I think some of you might find useful. Is a bit abstract but I think very relevant for anyone new to ZBrush, here it is:
Also, I recently started streaming on twitch some ZBrush sessions, and the very first Livestream is a continuation (PART 2) of my ZBrush Summit Presentation where I show some of the tips and trick I didnât have time to show during the summit. If you want to check it out you can find it on my channel here: Pablander Twitch - Here is the Zombie we worked on todayâs livestream:
hope you guys find this useful!
Cheers.

Mr Pablo,
Loved the new video and the food for thought.
I for one argued the case that the âlazy mouseâ moniker should be changed to the âindolent rodentâ but my pleas went unheeded.
One learning approach does not suit every user - a 2d user beginning ZBrush may find that shadowbox offers a more intuitive way to create starting forms being that the system is analogous to 2d projections in 3d space whilst a traditional sculptor might find that zspheres or zbrushâs mannequins are analogous to to creating armatures to assist with the fixed placement of bony landmarks and gesture. In this sense learning should begin with an artistâs natural proclivities except of course debauchery or idleness.
With regard Shadowbox - âFigure Drawing for All Itâs Worthâ by Andrew Loomis first published in 1943 demonstrates the shadowbox principle under the title âOutlines in relation to solid form http://i.imgur.com/aLvgo.jpg
Your Twitch channel I have bookmarked and look forward to dropping by.
@boozy floozie - Thanks so much for your feedback mate! Iâve always appreciated your well written and thoughtful insights.
I have finished and published the second part of the beginners series on âHow I learned ZBrushâ. This time the second part video âFilling The Gapsâ, is less abstract and with some more actionable/practical advice. You can have a look at it here:
How I learned ZBrush PART 2: FILLING THE GAPS
I hope you guys find it useful!
Cheers.
ha ha love it!
Hey guys, I just wanted to share some image from the development of a Zombie character I started on my twitch channel. I used theSubtool Masker plugin to achieve the âgross factorâ in the face and it worked like a charm! really awesome tool. Hope you guys like it:
