I vote #2 but it was a tough call

#2 feels best for the cover…maybe you can use #1 for the back or inside somehow?

Very cool. My vote is for number 2.

Number 1 for me.
Great stuff! Very intersted in your tutorial.
I will follow.

#2 for me! Also, these look fantastic! Really lovely colours.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, Looks like are running with number 2 for the cover! I’ll try to sneak #1 somewhere in the tutorial too  which should be ready by Wednesday (or earlier for some of you guys since I’m in Australia). I’ll post the link here too!

Cheers!

So is the tutorial going to be posted here or somewhere else?

Hey guys thanks again for the feedback and all the nice comments!
Finally the new tutorial on rendering comic style with ZBrush is ready to download!

It’s an in-depth 40 pages guide, that I hope will shed a light on my workflow and the techniques I use to achieve the comic-style renders. I also packed a bunch of resources including materials, matcap images, alphas and testing models for you to play with!

I hope you find it useful and please share the link with whoever you think might benefit from this guide.

I really enjoyed making this tutorial and was able to produce a few interesting images that I will be sharing with you guys later on. Let me know what you guys create, I look forward to see some great comics!

We’ll be using the hashtag #zbrushcomic on facebook or twitter to share all the cool stuff you make with this guide!

Happy zbrushing!

Another amazing tutorial with epic presentation!

Don’t know how I missed your work. Unforgettable style, grace and composition. I will certainly follow you and your work now!

Just to clarify, since I see pricing options when I click and also the words free. Are these free? Just let me know.
Thank you.

This is TOP ROW material!

Hey mate, thank you so much for your gifts.
Recently found the zEye tool, now this.
Thank you and Top Row for sure.

Wow. I just browsed thought the book and it’s fantastic. Lots of great info that can be used well beyond just mere “Comic book art”. Thanks so much for giving this back to the community! I’m getting back into 3D after focusing on 2D art for the past year. This came out at a very good time for me.

This book is well written and concise and lavishly illustrated so that every thing is not only explained in the text, but through pictures.

Thanks again. If this was a print book, it would get dogeared and tattered in no time due to me constantly referring to it. :+1:

hey mister
impressive techniques, really useful and thanks for share with us

That’s a very impressive looking Tutorial. Thank you very much for sharing!

Thank You so much! Nothing to add but my gratitude.
