@boozy floozie - Thanks so much for your feedback mate! I’ve always appreciated your well written and thoughtful insights.

I have finished and published the second part of the beginners series on ‘How I learned ZBrush’. This time the second part video ‘Filling The Gaps’, is less abstract and with some more actionable/practical advice. You can have a look at it here:

Hey guys, I just wanted to share some image from the development of a Zombie character I started on my twitch channel. I used theSubtool Masker plugin to achieve the ‘gross factor’ in the face and it worked like a charm! really awesome tool. Hope you guys like it:

Was great to watch this take shape from start to (almost) finish Pablo !

This final render looks great ! (You’ll have to explain the long stringy hairs on your next stream (please)

Looking forward to learning more

Thanks for sharing Pablo !

a very calming and warm picture. nice

It’s not often I find myself admiring a man’s pustules but I make an exception with this fine render :+1:

@DougE - Thanks mate! glad you like the streams. thanks for stopping by! - By the way, the strings of hair are just painted over details
@Mentles - Thanks, glad you like it.
@boozy floozie - haha cheers mate! glad you like it.

Thanks for once again sharing, and with a slightly philosophical twist

@blueferret - Thanks mate! glad you liked it.

Hey guys, after sharing the Pug-Particle workflow miniseries, I’ve got lots o questions about how I take a ZBrush sculpt to a ‘portfolio piece’. It is very encouraging for me to see these type of responses and I’m really glad to see that you have found some value in the tutorials I share.

I have put together a one-question survey about this topic and to find out what exactly you guys would like to know. Check out the survey on the ZBGs clicking on the image below. I’d love to get your input:

Hey guys Happy new year!

To kick-start this 2019 here is a new personal project: Uncle Fester.

It is my version of Uncle Fester from Adam’s Family but based on Larry Fine from the Three Stooges… I grew up watching these two shows and I always thought that Larry would have been a good cast for Uncle fester haha

All done in ZBrush, textures in Substance Painter and rendered with Arnold in Maya. you can see more screenshots and images on my ArtStation page here.

This screenshot below is from Toolbag 3, which I used for look dev, testing normal maps and try different lighting scenarios.

and here is a quick timelapse working on the expression:

Larry Fine makes a great Fester. What a sweet idea wonderfully brought to life :+1:
Any plans for further look-a-like swaps?

Btw - loved that little black outside line trick (flipping normals with flat color fill) you demonstrated on your recent ZBrush Stream.
Was wondering what that might be like using it with uv textures too.

Any way thought you did amazingly well to be that hot and keep presenting a stream.

Bless you Sir for going over time on your last broadcast to explain the feather curve brush technique with repeating uv’s.
Much appreciated:D

Hey guys, just a quick message here to let you know that the ZBrushGuides is back online with a brand new look and heaps of improvements. I’m really excited to finally share this with all of you!

There is quite a bit of new stuff in there in terms of resources, but the focus of the re-structure of the website was to simplify the way you guys access the content and provide a better user experience overall. So you’ll notice new things like the filtering system in the tutorials page, dedicated pages for each type of resources, and a more consistent approach to the videos and quick guides pages. The new ZBrushGuides website also has some structural updates which makes it much easier for me to upload and create new content, so I should be able to produce more and more often!

I really hope you guys like the new site!

Also, with the new ZBGs, I released a new brushes pack with 43 brushes for detailing human skin. You can check it out HERE (or click the image below).

Hey guys, I’ve been testing some workflows with ZModeler and rendering in keyshot for a tutorial that I’m working on. I did a test yesterday in about 20min from ‘QCube’ to keyshot render and I thought I should share it… hope you guys like it:

Great to see some classic archviz 3d made with zbrush : )

Hey guys I just wanted to leave you a link to some of the images I did for the beta testing of ZBrush 2019: ZBrush BETA testing - Pablo Munoz G.

Also, a couple of extra images I did recently tweaking some of the oil painting filters sets I made during the beta (100% renders from ZBrush):

I’m loving NPR filters!!!

Hey guys, I hope you have been enjoying the new ZBrush 2019. I’ve seen a lot of really cool artworks in here!

I put together an intro guide to ZBrush 2019 that is now available on the ZBrushGuides website in case you are interested. It was getting a bit too long, so I split it into two guides… here are the links:

1. Creative Boost - Spotlight 2.0, Snapshot 3D, NPR filters, etc.

2. Productivity Boost - Universal Camera, Folders, ZRemesher 3.0, etc.
