Hey all, before anyone even says it, yes i know mars is red, and its a desert.
but i based this on the carson of mars/savage sword type illustrationâs.
the original render was done with my cavity shader setup, but due to sizing and jpeg compression, it lost alot of the smaller details, this is just a basic GDI render and lighting, no postwork, all zbrush.

this scene would prob be 100 million + polys, but when dropped to 2.5D, it keeps all of the z-depth of an actual 3d scene, and doesnt even burpâŠnot to mention that even at full on 3D, zbrush can knock around multi million poly meshes like it was nothing. drop a few dozen âor hundredâ of those into your scenes and the detail and complexity you can achive is pretty much limited only by your imagination.
