Thanks man, but kind of hit a wall here. Gonna be some more time me thinks before I post anything else.
Ok its been a while, got a small update. Not 100% Zbrush proper but it was
fun to do and thought it might be cool to share. Not 100% happy with it, moving on anyway.

Blocked in using 3DMAX, ZB for the stone bits of the wall, paint over and photomanip in pshop. Used Decimation Master on the wall bit and dropped it back into MAX for render.

An expansion on some concepts. I have been trying to work on raw painting skills but decided to give a cross-multi software deal a go.
This is the concept painted in pshop.

If you give a hoot about any other stuff see here http://dman3d.cgsociety.org/gallery/
Always nice to see some environment work. The blocks in the background are a little nondescript, but other than that it looks pretty nice.
Yeah, gonna try to take what I gleaned here and move forward. Put more time into the detailing, more or less a milky image in my head at the time. Each step or try makes it a bit clearer. The Decimation Master is so handy thought I would post it. The more I think about it I think I will redo the stone. Will repost if I can sort it out.

Yeah – cool to see some environment! Very well done! Hope to see more stuff like that!
As the guys already said it is nice to see enviroment stuff on here. Especially after that post I read on Polycount about people just wanting to be character artists. This proves how well ZB can be used on enviroments these days.
Great job
S
Thanks! But have to disappoint with a character now…
This is a refinement of the Chitin 005 concept back at the beginning of this thread.

Hey Dman - looking sweet - you getting to grips with the hardsurface stuff hey - GJ
Ty Foo, yeah. Funny bit is this is one of my earlier models. Thanks to you, Ced and Nerve, (not to mention everyone else) sharing info and tips Im improving!
So thx and my next one is a total ripoff of all your techniques.
Ok here is the afore mentioned rip off. Getting that practice in. No real design scheme here just re-using the zSkull model on page 1 to make this. Smoothed it out and went for it.
One more time thanks to everyone for sharing so much info + Ced, Nerve and Foo for making such inspiring stuff and sharing.
Nothing great but one more move in getting my zbrush skill set expanded.
Comped in photoshop
All of your art is just fantastic, love it. The hard surfaces is most impressive, would love to see some procedurals.
I like it! !
Thanks Eric and Etcher, some encouragement goes a long way. Feel like im getting some where.
Here is another practice session on hard edge. Nothing great again just follwing the stylus around.
Inspired by Fear Factory, happened to be listening to when practicing.
I am the way prepare for salvation… (for those FF fans out there)
