Here is a rendering R&D test for a skin shader I’ve been developing for mental ray for a couple years nows. This wouldn’t see the light of day else were.

Nice work so far, a suggestion on the last head sculpt would be moving the corners of his mouth back a bit more.

Thx’s adampof! I got a chance to retopo the female rough sculpt and setup my polygroups for later use. I’m gonna work on her porportions more now that I have better topology to work with.

switching gears for a bit to work on the ox creature, just roughing out some forms.

Here is a real-time likeness model I’ve been working on. This is the hi-rez head sculpt to pull the normal map details and texturing details. He is symmetrical at the moment, still debating if its worth breaking the symmetry for an in-game model. Still need to figure out on which route I’m going to take for the hair.

Built the low-rez game head and doing normal mapping test to make sure everything is coming along. On to sculpting hair and texturing…

Made some more minor facial tweaks to better capture his likeness. Mainly some issues with the width of the mouth and eye adjustment.

Started to rough in the hair shapes before passing it over with hair fiber brush. Also working on making the model asymmetrical from this point now.

Calling the hi-rez done. Anymore Tweaking and I’m going to loose my mind. Now on to normal map and texture generation Weee Weee… :smiley:

Been working some more on the ox creature. Decided to add a centaur style body. Just roughing in the bodies proportions and laying in the muscles. Tweaked the head and face region to make him more menacing looking.
