death and its brides (wip) err... (nudity. i mean, REAL nudity)

Hey hey,
hi everyone.
Here is a wip i’ve been having fun with, these last days. This scene is, as always, the base of the 2D illustration. The picture is finished but i’ll show it later on.

Basically, it’s all about having fun with this sweet and fantastic Zbrush 3. I really love this fu…er… insane. Pure fun.

It’s not a highly detailed geometry, i really focus on the main flow.
Well, ok. For the tree i went a bit further into detailling, HD modelling, around 40M polygons.
I always use the same basemesh. Well, till now, coz i finally decided to update it. Next work will use my new cage. In this particular case, the base is the same for the death and the chicks, head included.

thanks guys.
paintover. as always with my work.
basic 4k render in Zbrush (top of the thread) then fun with king photoshop (6k); in the end, 3.5k for print purpose.

I think the models are top notch. Some of the details and forms are killer. Like the head of Death or the boobage! Great work. I think the end image leaves something to be desired though. The lighting is lacking imho. I think you should do another pass or version to it. It just doesnt do the models the justice they deserve.

Are you going to post any process tips new things you think ppl will want to know about how much ZB3 has influenced your work or freed up your pipeline. Anything on your processes will be appreciated.

Bryan Silva. Glad you like the meshes. Sorry you don’t like this much the pict. In the end, those 2 are two different things for me, with their strenght, and their specificities. This pict is really in the continuity of my previous works. You’re talking about sharper speculars? stuff like that?

BrettSinclair. Well, closer shot of the CG? Coz this is the closest i can get in a matter of illustration crop.

Askue: I’ll post a couple of things about my process in the near future. Basically, i use CG for illustration. I love modelling, the rest piss me off more and more since years pass, so more&more i work with basic B&W renders and a lot of photoshop on top. Zbrush is obviously a dream application for someone like me, who enjoy sculpting.

KrakenCMT: thanks for visiting my website. Everyone should do that!! Hahhaha.

JohnnyBoy. My only ref was an old remember of Simon the King Bisley’s Slaine. I forced myself not to open the comic book tho… in order not to get too much enfluenced. Unfortunately, i don’t know any other ref.
