Awesome work, mate :+1:

Really nice work man. Congrats on a good job.

Awesome work. I would get rid of the yellow border, but that’s subjective, just my personal opinion. Great job!

Hi and thanks for replies, tobbeo, tonare, and AR-MAN!

Again I got carried away, using the ‘robot-arms’ as an inspiration and base to do something more crazy detail / hard-surface wise. Here’s the result so far, more to come hoefully (further refinement, angles, proper lighting/render):

I plan to share the brushes I used (insert mesh panels I generated for this etc) - that will come soon hopefully

This is insane!
Fantasic!

thanks bfgnz, lovely work yourself!

I’d like to share my insertmesh brushes that I generated from 2d to 3d and used extensively in this project:
I can show a tutorial after maybe to show how I generate them.

Thats so incredible my head just popped!

Just amazing work … Mind boggling details! So generous of you to share these awesome brushes as well!!!

cheers, David

…indeed!

Thaks a heap Darukin!! awesome contribution!! Flawless piece…:o:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Infinite details Darukin…how many subtools for the entire piece?

Can’t really say anything but wow! How many polys is that? Looks like it must be monstrous!

And thanks for sharing the brushes!

Downloading those brushes now.
Thank you so much!

Really enjoyed watching the evolution of this piece

kudos

You’re a real megalomaniac  Great work! Imho I think an extra pair of back legs would make it look more believable/stable. :+1:

I really love what you’ve done. It opens up a whole new avenue for creating an image.

I would love to see a tutorial on how you make your insert brushes.

Word.

Hey thanks for the great replies guys, its very motivating!

this ones about 25million polygons, about 20 subtools maybe (again lots of the details from IMM sculpted are grouped in same subtool, IMM inserted details are sculpted only with move elastic after being placed, as well as trimming and transpose)- but with several decimated pieces
hopefully will show IMM brush creation technique - it’s an effective 2D to 3D method using extract tool (NOT panel loops - this works only with extract , I hope to show it on video soon). It’s really a gift feature and brings out exact detail from the 2D, but theres a trick with the extract mask etc. Once created I decimate the extracted 3d shape then append to an IMM brush.

Thanks again guys!
More soon
All the Best
