@Clintus: Hey thanks for observation! Yes I think I will go back to the coiling around his legs instead then. wasn’t sure what to do about that part, so I am open to suggestions. This is was concepted in 3d on the fly you see ^^
… for the Matcap info. I had the marble ones installed but not the grey. I had lost them somehow.

Next step is final tweaking to fix all loose ends, then model metal scratches/ wear and tear, then the daunting task of coloring / shading like done for helm

To my eye the pipes?chains? to the right/left of his arms are unnaturally symmetrical – a minor complaint and clearly you’re going for symmetry, but I would suggest moving one side or the other a tiny bit to make it more naturally symmetrical.
Materials are looking pretty sweet. Can I ask, is this BPR? If so, how did you get the reflections on the base?

Actually this isnt BPR it’s a Keyshot render with only HDRI and materials so far , no textures
And yea, I need to get some asymmetry in there!
Still adding more elements, but getting there slowly
I think I might go for full background modelling - then do final render with DOF etc
Also - I’m open to all crits/suggestions c&c , even though not finished yet suggestions can help me shape this further/improve it!
