@ziggy: thanks man! i always appreciate your kind words.
@LapsuMental: well actually you have some very nice works, i think that sometimes it’s only a matter of acquiring more and more experience and know techniques. as you can see from the vids, there is nothing so fancy, just a lot of trial and error and taking always note of what works and what doesn’t (actually my notepad is something pretty huge, but only because i had the luck to work on lot of small different projects that gave me the possibility to face problems and learn techniques)
@LeoAmd: thanks man, i try to make my best, but i promise that with time i will improve both my pronunciation and my audio edit skills (the volume on my recordings sometimes tend to be a bit messy :D)
@shulinchung: you are welcome man, i really like to make videotutorials and i am glad people find good stuff on those.
@nickz: man, i am really a huge fan of your works and used a gazillion times your man model as base mesh for my sculpts. Also, i still remember your manimal vids (and sometimes i should take time to view them again, just to refresh how to make a good sculpting work :)). so it’s really a big honour each time i read your words
Your Joker came out really well!
That is sooooooo cool!! I’m currently watching your rendering video’s right now! TOP NOTCH STUFF!!! Thanks so much for making the video’s. This is going to help answer a lot of BPR/rendering questions I have.
Peace-NickZ.
Really fantastic work and thank you so much for the tutorials, these are very helpful and I will learn SOOO much from it. Really thanks for sharing your rendering technique and everything in such informative way. Looking forward seeing more artwork and tutorials from you Danko!:)
Best regards and Happy sculpting
- Kenny:)

amazing
Hi guys, i wanted to share my last project, this is a model i realized at a hyper fast pace for an upcoming digital tutors videotutorial. i created the organic base mesh in zbrush and after a fast pose went into dynamesh, for the mechanical parts i made some fast low poly in xsi and took advantage of the wonderful ice engine to procedurally create repetitive elements like ropes and chains (so i had also the possibility to showcase how to make it). the cloth was created taking advantage of the fabulous micromesh feature coupled with the new possibility to create edge loops around masked areas (to create the holes in a second). all detailing, texturing, shading and rendering done in zbrush, taking advantage of its powerful tools (surface noise, brush options, shader mixers and bpr settings). the final still is the result of a brute zbrush render with the only compositing work being applying the depth of field effect and fixing with the clone tool some little flaws on the mesh (it always happens when you have to run). i hope you like it! cheers!

Mind numbingly AWESOME!
Really good Danko… emotion…
Thanks guys! in short time i will fix a couple of things here and there (due to the quick deadline of the tutorial i really had to go FAST…no timelapses alllowed :D) and then want to come out with a better render to make all the parts really come out of the screen
Ok here it is, i took some time to fix a couple of things i didn’t like and made additional detailing work. i also played a lot with bpr these days to come out with a good looking render, this one has been made up by composing in photoshop the default bpr render passes coming out from zbrush (shaded + sss, shadow, ao), i didn’t make a one shot render only because as i made a pretty huge image to print it out (7000x3500) i did want to have the possibility to tweak the image in post without havig to rerender everything
hope you like it, CIAO!
