Corpus works

cheers guys. here is my current wip. color map is very early for testing, needs proper spec, sss maps still.

another render/comp test, flash photo style

I really like this, and the flash photo is freaky sh*t. Such amazing skin details, all sculpted by hand? much respect, cheers :+1:

thanks Bangers. yes, I don’t like to use alphas unless I have some sort of specific reference to match. It takes longer, but it’s more fun too.

some finished renders of the ‘hiver’. The first one has been graded for a gritty look, the second is the raw render from vray. ill post some more renders with the critters on him and some breakdowns soon.

gross!!! great work

Finally finished. the backplate for the the shot in the woods was tricky, it was snowing at night, and the flash caught all the droplets which messed up the the focus, but…whatever good enough for what I needed.
He looks kind of dorky with his tongue out, so I decided to retract it.

mostly done, just need to sculpt some of the teeth and lower gums.

whoa, lots of creepy-awesome stuff here! :+1:

The picture in the woods look amazing. Great job!

thanks guys!

Finished sculpt.

man this is soooo awesome!!
really love the skindetails!
how much of this was asymmetry?

Really nice, how did you render that shot?

hello guys!

Fynn - I started from a base human head that I had from another project, so I could save a few hours. However, that head was already asymmetrical, so I think this ended up taking longer :stuck_out_tongue:
Pat - This is just a vray render with default material (super high rez geo + bump) and an HDRI. I just saturated and added contrast in post.

Ah thank you, you’ve got a really nice mood in that render.

Early start of a bigger project, I’ll try to post progress on a weekly basis

I can’t wait to see the result , it is the assumption of mecha . great work :+1:

Thanks TomatoVFX. Most of this stuff is hard surface, mecha/vehicle.

some progress before the weekend. Refined the helmet a bit, and blocking out the clothes on the torso.
