Hi guys!
I´ve just finished the “Making of”
http://davidmoratilla.com/CloseUpPortraits_MakingOf1.html
Regards.
Thanks for that David! Great stuff!
thanks for the tutoral it was a great render tut but i was wondering
can you tell me how you modeled that face useing nurbs becuase im not so good at edge modeling and id like to take up nurbs
if you can tell me how you did it or give me a link of a tutoral that explans how to model a head useing nurbs it would be great
3D user: I don´t recommend you nurbs modelling. I modelled the face years ago, and that was ok. Now there are other better and fast tools, I would use zspheres, or create a basic shape in other 3D software and add subdivisions in zbrush. It´s much easier¡¡
Anyway, i created the face using curves. Circles around mouth and eyes to create lofts, and then create patches to fill the empty spaces, and move CVs.
I don´t know any good nurbs modelling tut, sorry.
thanks any way
the prop im haveing is how to make a female face because it looks like a male face when modeling
Wow! Awesome! Inspiring. Absolutely beautiful.
3DUser,
If you’re having problems figuring out the different proportions of male and female faces, there’s help.
Here’s a tutorial that talks about the generalities in differences between the two. These are only generalities, but it’ll give an idea what’s going on/wrong with your faces.
thanks alot Drakaran i owe you one
Shake hand David! Well done. lol i have lots of questions for you :d i will write you some day. Thanks a lot for putting up the making of. its really helpful.
thanks a lot
raj
! AMAZING !
Astounding detail! Amazing stuff here.
it’s so beautiful,i like it very much!!!
This is amazing.
I went to your website. Thanks for posting such a nice and detailed tutorial on the making of. Sometimes I read post with guys who totally ignore other peoples questions about shaders and other stuff, like they are scared of people getting better.
Thanks again
I still can’t believe you put all those little cylinders into position…it must have taken ages…but well worth it and I think I might borrow that method if i make a realism portrait one day
