I use XSI too, can I know your bump setting?
how have you generate you bump map?
I use fast skin shader, but I have always some problems to see the details of the bump. If it is possible for you, please tell me where I am going wrong.

Drummer: there’s a plugin out for xsi called ZBump. We use that here, and it truelly picks up 100 times the detail then the bumpmap generator nodes.

That really is amazing. Have you ever thought of going in the chocobo direction like the ones in the Final Fantasy games?
To me it looks like a very realistic version of the cartoony chocobos. If you give it yellow feathers, and a saddle it would be the perfect FF chocobo
