Hi all
It has been a very long time since I posted anything.
I thought I would post some pics of a character that I designed for a Chef boyardee commercial, at Stan Winston Studio.
It was a really fun Character to do because it was a whimsical monster for a change and not another flesh eating beast (nothing against flesh eating beasts).
the final models were all made from Zspheres and then re-topped.
The head, hands,horns and feet were all rapid prototyped in foam and detailed, molded etc.

All the designing was done in Zbrush and the comps

Really cool, a nice whimsical monster you don’t see that often in media anymore. Also brings a nostalgic feeling from older films like Labyrinth. And I like the commercial for using a full size puppet compared to the CG creatures from their other commercials. And I always thought that when the commercial came on and enjoyed seeing the cool monster. So thanks for the great work.

This is really cool. I just love seeing 3D Zbrush stuff brought to life with real world materials.

That is just astonishing. Great character, and an awfully welcome change of pace around here! I simply love it!

The process is very interesting as well, I would love to see more from behind the scenes!

Very nice, I;ve seen this on TV and loved it! Great Character Design, Takes me back to something Brian Froud would have designed for the movie Labyrinth. Also somthign like a Jim Henson Design. VERY GOOD JOB!

PS: Strange enough, the kid in the commercial kinda looks like the monster. LOL
