cemond's sketchbook (2009)

Honestly, I kinda like the stylized Cap more than the realistic Superman.

lol thanks, it does have a nice comic book quality to it, it’s a shame to keep the look you can’t really add details so it feels like plastic :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey Cemond! I think there’s really no need to get frustrated man! The Cap looks great! Ntime for creative block right now, heck, sculpt the heads of people you see on the street, the subway, young, old, wrinkly, bearded, whatever, and slap the captain America mask on them (Cap B, Cap C, Cap D, etc…). You are making progress, just keep goin’! :+1: !

Something new I’m working on, now even quite sure what the character is going to be yet, just kind of going with the flow.

Any C & C is much appreciated, I know have I have a long way to go

Looks good. Proportions of the face and head I think allow it to go anywhere
you need or want it to.:+1: I hear ya, most of the stuff I start I have no idea
what it is or where to go with it, only a few exceptions to that.

Looks good so far. Of course, the arms will need to be lengthened, but it looks like a good start. :+1:

This is looking really great… I like the facial sculpt. It will look awesome once completed!

Here’s a minor update:

C & C Welcome

Everything from the waist up looks good, except for maybe the elbows. The anatomy from the waist down needs some work.

Another cool piece! :+1: !

Here’s an update on my gladiator/warrior character. I decided to redo the armor, going to use 3ds Max for some better Hard-body.

Anyways C & C welcome.

Haven’t posted much recently, been super busy with work and trying to work on anatomy studies, I did however manage to get out a speed sculpt Wolverine Bust, about an hour total time.

Hope you guys like.

I managed to pick up a few great recommended anatomy books, as well as Zack Petrocs Anatomy DVD, and I have learned TONS!. Instead of just drawing blob and lines, I finally understand the reason for them, and can better represent them. I started working on an anatomy study sculpt using reference from the books I had and what I learned from Zack’s video.

I havent started hands/feet yet, but any general C & C would be a great help, I hope I’m getting better!

 Any crits on anatomy?

Hey Cemond! The anatomy study is lookin’ great! Buying those books and dvd probably saved you years of plodding! :+1: ! Here’s my small comment and solution: check the connection of the muscles of the lower arm on the upper arm, esp the M. Brachioradialis (see attachments) lookin’ forward to the hand and feet sculpts! :+1: !
