sorry man but its really obvious your trying to copy
Rodrigue Praliers superman bust without giving him
any credit, why not design your own version of supermans
head.

the model looks excellent but i’m not really digging the superman curl.

Trying to copy who? I was basing my sculpt off Alex Ross/Kingdom Come Superman.

Here you can even look at my reference palette.

Thanks! yah I’m going to go back and redo the hair at some point, because I’m not happy with it either. I’m just learning how to use subtools, so I was just adding the hair in to get the feel of superman so I could sculpt the rest out.

Here’s 2 more updates. Finished the suit and moving onto hands and finer details.

Pardon me just thought they looked a little too similar

I can agree there are similarities, it’s obvious he must have based his off the same version of superman, but to come in here and accuse me of stealing some else’s work is just rude and unfounded. I’ve shown you the reference I’ve used and if you are just going to come in this thread and accuse me of things, I would appreciate it if you just didnt bother posting here at all.

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy my work, but I’ve put a lot of time and effort into and I’m very proud of what I have accomplished. Guess you can’t please everyone.

I dont think my accusations are unfounded, the head looks more like Rodrigues bust than it does your reference pictures.

I’m not gonna sit here all day and debate with you, but just so youll feel better, I can notice 100 differences just looking at those two images.

Mine has:
Different face shape
Different Eye Shape
Different Hair line
Different hair curl
different mouth
different nose
Different Jaw shape (Mine goes for the classic promonent butt chin)
Different brow line
Different neck musculature.

So if that is plagiarism, then I guess I’m guilty, but you have no right to come in here and accuse me of things.

Looking good:+1: Look forward to seeing in evolve.

Alex Ross is amazing, prolly a million pieces based on his style/designs out there.

I know Supes is no featherweight, but to me, his facial features look a bit too tough.
He needs to look rugged, and masculine without looking like a bruiser.
Also, the wrinkles on his boots make them look more like socks than boots, and that they could easily fall down if he went into action.
Lastly, I think his body should taper more as it moves down to his waist.
Hope that is helpful.

@Damn3d: Thanks!
@Webhead: Thanks for the advice, I will take a look at those things and make some adjustments.

Hi cemond! updates are comin’ in fast! gotta agree with webhead on the boots though. Keep goin’!

Worked on this sculpt for an hour or so, not sure if I’m going to flesh it out into a full character yet.

C & C welcome as always.

Hi, Just wondering how you got the skin pores and wrinkles in your superman. I am stuck with that on a few of my models at the moment.
Cheers

You’re working fast man, but I think it’s paying off! Nice sculpt: it’s good to see you concentrate on the blocking in of the basic shapes before jumping into the high res detail stuff! :+1: ! Keep goin’!

@midduke: For wrinkles I’m using a small size standard brush on a high-subdivision level. Pores is made from an Alpha with color spray.
@Ether: Thanks as always!

Here’s a new headsculpt. I think this one turned out much better than my other models, really trying for a cleaner approach.

C & C Welcome.

Update.

Been suffering from a creative block lately, getting frustrated with my progress but none-the-less I worked up a stylized america speed sculpt… Hope you guys like it.
