I think I’m done with the upper body for now, fleshed out the main forms, and I’m going to move onto other parts for now. Hope you guys like it.

wow! that’s a lot of improvement in a month.
keep up the good work man…
cheers!!!
Nice progress! ! Keep goin’!
@ Etcher: Thanks! Love your stuff btw.
@ kaarthikeyan: Thanks for the kind words. It’s been a huge learning experience.
Here’s an update on the Barbarian/Jedi character i’ve been working on. I worked on refining some of the torso and added the pants/loincloth/boots. I still have some issues to fix with the boots and I’m working on the hands for the character atm.
I had debated having him wear a traditional jedi garb, but I think I like the bare-chested look better, and it seems to suit the character a bit more.
C & C Welcome!
There will also be a belt covering the top of the pants and the loincloth, so please ignore the visible crapness there for now

Update’s lookin’ good! Thanks for the nice comment on my thread! !

](javascript:zb_insimg(‘130077’,‘Untitled-1.jpg’,1,0))We’ll I think I’ve decided to put this project to rest. I’ve got to a point where I know to fully realize the character I need to learn alot more about anatomy and zbrush, especially sculpting out hands and clothing, so I might revisit this character later, but for now I’m going to move onto other things.
This is coming out well, the basic proportions are there and all that needs done is some development on the legs, I’d say this character is worth some more TLC. Burne Hogarth’s books are a great help.
Hey thanks! I’ll take a look at those books, might run to Chapters to see if they carry them. I will probably come back to this character, but I’m a pretty much a stickler for perfection (as much as can be done) and I’ve already X’d alot of things I wanted to do with this character because I don’t have the 3d knowledge yet. I’m prolly going to do some hand/feet/body anatomy study sculpts for the next couple weeks and then revisit this character or a new project.
Thanks for taking the time to respond tho!
Did a few anatomy studies and started work on a new character, very early on right now (Sub-D 3) but everything I’ve done so far has been benifited by what I learned, especially the hands. More pics will be up when I have more of the character completed.
Plus, got a new 22" Monitor, Zbrush is a dream on this thing!

Update, WIP:
Based off the Reeve’s 80’s Superman.

Cool new sculpt! Like you said, it all comes down to studying anatomy (why do superheroes have to wear spandex suits… )! Keep goin’ man!
!
nice progress so far.i like it.
i would suggest to give’m a nice rhythm on the legs.a bit a of a curvature to legs.eventhough it’s very early stage, if u set up those rhythemic lines in your model it’ll look more solid…
good luck
@ Etcher: Thanks!
@ kaarthikeyan: Thanks for the tip!
I decided to go a different route, mixing more of my personal style with a Kingdom Come style superman. So I restarted this morning and I’m pretty happy so far with the result that’s coming out.
Here’s a shot of the new suit design. I tried to incorporate some porus material, sort of what they did with the Spiderman movies. The belt is temporary for now and I have a lot of cleaning up to do. But any C & C at this stage will be helpful

Hi cemond! Texture test looks interesting, lookin’ forward to seeing more on that! Regarding the anatomy: might wanna make his arms a tad longer (if you place his arms near his body, check his fingertips: they should be appr halfway his thigh) See ya! !
Started this sculpt over again from scratch, just can’t find a happy style for it. In any case, this time I’m liking it a lot more, I did the head first this time, helps me get a feel for the character. I’m going to move onto the body next.
Any C & C on the head sculpt would be great. Still WIP.

Hi Cemond! I think the head sculpt is coming along great! You asked for c&c, so here’s mine: I would try to soften out the bulge near his nose and his upper lip. You might wanna do that by goin’ into side view and pulling some masses a bit backward. Sorry for the sloppy paintover, hope I could be of some help. See ya! !
Thanks for the help guys!
