Cartoon Cat Face WIP

Cat face for a character that will be juggling mice on a unicycle. Hope to have this the first of a series for Carnival of the Animals. Hope you enjoy my slightly evil cat. Catrender10e.jpg

That is just nasty! Cats should not smile, ever!

some of them do, actually

This will be a nice scene! :+1: :+1:

I like it. I would be more inclined to use a more cat like body, rather than human looking. Unless of course this is your intention.

I Look forward to the final image.

I made the cat body anthropomorphic on purpose, but I may rethink this since the other animals will be more natural in shape. My interest was in placing the leotard textures on the body and a smooth surface worked well, but I think I can still retain the funky clothes and make his body more cat like. Thanks for the input

I realized when trying to render the head in projection master that the mesh was very twisted. I redid the head and this is a study.

I have also been playing with the carnival background but it needs more work before I post anything. Thanks for the input

This is great, hawkline13! I love SideShow Art! Perhaps some inspiration here:

You’re welcome,…I’ll be watching for your updates. 50.

Just to show you that I’m still working on my little project. I created the unicycle in Maya and painted it in Z.

Funny cycle! Once I tried to ride one like that for one second, big bump on my head :frowning:

Hawki

Can you tell how you painted the fur on cat ?

using material fibers, or fiber brush? or you rendered in maya?

Hawki I was trying to create my own model of cat

But I am not able to get as detailed model as you created ?

Can you provide a tutorial on how to create those details ?

Any particular alphas you used ?

I have my own pet cats wanna create a model of them

This is a great thread Hawk. Very unique and well worth watching :):+1: Wicked, the middle kitty and the kitty on the left remind me of daughters another cat of mine had. I would like to see you succeed in this!:bulb:

This quiet little thread has really surprised me! Those cats are fabulous,Sunny and the model is great, Vic. I will put together something showing how I arrived at my cat models. I used both Zspheres and latter box modeling all in Zbrush. The fur is a combination of alphas and Fiberbrush. I use the Fiberbrush in Projection Master, but only for preliminary effects. I have to drop it and apply it on a baked canvas for the best fur. The highlight, smear, and darken tools I also use extensively. I will post my files (alphas, Fiberbrush settings, and models) as soon as I can. Thank you for your wonderful feedback! :+1: :+1: :+1:
