Love your style and lighting, beautiful!
I think you are going in the good direction Xada with your alst work. And you are right, EOF3D models are a good inspiration!
Thanks Icebox64!
Thank you Totyo! i always appreciate your comments as you’ve been my “father in Zbrush”!
I’d like to know which way in this model shall be the good one, as i usually don’t know what to do with! i also complain because i’m unable to find a "sexiest"style…but i do with it…
You’re welcome
You should repost your last two renders, but with less dof and with more light. I like the artistic style of these renders, but they doesn’t help at all to critic the model. In a way, they are hiding it, like you would like to hide some parts. It remind me when I prefer using some MatCap because they make the model nicer than how it is… which is a wrong practice of course!
you’re right!! lol.
i’ve been searching for artistic style.
here are 2other renders without dof and with more light. you can also see details on Zbrush screenshot on the previous page.
an other work i wish i’ll finish one day; a Gandalf. here is a render with fake “ownage effect”. still have to work on details.

Back on my Frazz girl. worked on the face and the eyes, the hair, moved the bust; refined the fingers…
Other views on this “hair study”
my normal maps where off. i did an other render with good NM result i think. The rendered model (in Cycles) has 14000 poly.
I rpefer the version in the post #249 ("Other views on this “hair study”)
hey! thanks…that’ hard to read! I was sorry that in a zbrush forum so few sculpting shapes were rendered. Maybe i may smooth a little bit the NM. I find too that faces shapes are giving an older expression. also breast is a little bit too pinched! and also that old belly button hidden in my higher subdiv level gasp!
thanks very much. it helps!
I did some edits in photoshop with my comments on it
wow. Would you help me with the same work on the next picture…thought it was an answer for most of your notes?
edit: i did this test with colour and Cycles’s SSS.
hope the settings are good now.
Sympa ta cagole !
i’ve learnt this “cagole” word last month!!! it’s the “provence effect”!!
I take it you’re not a Provence native. Welcome, then !
On topic : aren’t her arms a bit fat, and her hands a tad big ? Overall it’s tough to judge, since it’s a Frazetta girl, and their proportions are always exaggerated in a few select places. Still, maybe the wrists & ankles are too fat. I’d see the fingers thinning down towards their tips more, as well.
I think I like your Gandalf the most, very lookalike !
Do you use transpose for the posing ?
Cheers,
Hadrien
