Brett's Sketchbook

brett
how did you add the little thickness to Ryu’s cloth?

heeheheh… yeah! maybe. i know that feeling. darn hard to get rid of the tendensy, or whatever it’s called.

First of all, incredible work. I’m a little curious about the crayfish man - why did you choose to make the bottom of the tail that way? I’m used to seeing those two extra flared out fins on the bottom, a very defining attribute of a crayfish.

Man how did you get so good at this?I would think we had different programs or something i just started with zbrush well good luck on your future work.

Been awhile since I posted anything. Thanks all for the kind words.

This is a project I’ll most likely be working on for a very long time as I’ll never be satisfied.
I need to redo his eyebrows. Not sure what background will be used either. The jersey still needs wrinkes in it.

Thanks for looking…

Cheers

Hi Brent, it really looks great, and just remember that you’ll never really be happy as the real picture is in your heart, I too lost my Dad at a early age, what I can tell you is that he is smilling down at you, as he knows how much you love him, and we can all see it in your works of him…

Well done in two ways, your art and your love for your Dad…

Ziggy.

hey buddy!

really amazing work on the portrait of your father. that must be the hardest thing to do. since you knew and had a relationship to him, which gonna be darn hard to depict in a static 3d model, no matter how good an artist you are.
so, from my point of view… awesome work.

talk later.

Thanks guys.

Jason Belec: Thanks mate. Its difficult cause i’m very hard on myself when it comes to the portrait. I’ll never be happy with it :frowning:

truthhunter: The hair was pre modelled in maya. I sourced a how to plat hair diagram through google and modelled it accordingly. Ryan kingslien did a in zbrush tut.

Lucky_1: Thanks Lucky

Ziggy: Thank you for the kind words my friend. Your very right in all you say.

Rasmus: Thanks dude. I really appreciate the kind words. Good luck with the moving

I decided to step back from my dads portrait again. I haven’t touched zbrush in awhile. So I decided to do one of my favourite characters…

Its still wip just to loosen up I guess. I stumbled accross a sculpt in a similiar pose. No clue who did it. I think it was a guy named Greg?

Thanks for looking.
