Brett's Sketchbook

Really nice work! I like the attitude! :+1:

Hey David… Thanks so much. I’m really enjoying this piece. Thanks for stopping in

Great Work Buddy!

great update buddy, love the face details. :+1:

nice work up, he looks great. If you would, what is your system like and what are your memory settings for ZB to work on full fiqures, i’m doing alot of busts, but need to start a few more full figures your help, with that would be great.

Hey threetails… I’m running a quad 2.66ghz. 8g ram. I don’t optomize any memory within zbrush. Hmmmmm. Should I be setting anything in memory? I haven’t a clue

great! keep posting updates

dude that is awsome man. great work. your really getting better and better evry post!!!

Amazing Amazing. Really inspiring thread for me :grimacing:, Keep up.

Hey Brett!! I’ve been trying to get hold of u buddy! Your Sketchbook and Grangle threads are amazing bud! I cant believe that u push out so much with work and life inbetween. How many hours do u spend on zbrush a day/week?

Anyways I got a question bud. I’ve retopo’d my character head and for some reason (i’m assuming the cage is’nt enveloping the entire highres mesh) the new projected mesh gets some weird poly jumps/spikes. Cleaning them up takes so long I get completely put off retopo’ing. Any suggestions or soultions?

alexleia: Thanks dude.
nerveink: Hehe. Thanks mate.
jmturbo: Thank you! :o

Added clothing. Boots and that ol speedo. HAha.

Hope you like the direction i’m going for.

Cheers
Brett

hey man!

great update. i got a little crit for you. hope you don’t mind.
his cloth sits too loose, even if they are torn apart.
but you might fix that later on, anyway.

keep em coming.

Love your work, Brett. Very inspiring. One crit, and this is in comparison to your previous works, is that the rips or holes in the pants aren’t as convincing as they could be? Either way, it’s great. :+1:

Hey guys. Thanks for the crits. I’m testing out this cloth Idea. to see what I like and what works for the piece. Thanks again!

hey brett! great job… I love the hair on wolverine!!! ill be watchin!

The face looks really good. I’m sure the rest will look just as good as the sculpt progresses.

nerveink: Thanks man

JesseGraffam: Hehe, Thanks. Its still early. 3rd day from a base mesh I made awhile back. So lets see where this goes…

Mahen_Naidoo: Hey dude! Nice to see you in here. Have you tried changing your projection range. Usually in the negative helps.

Are you still at boston? I’m freelancing now. Well I’m a bum till I get work

I was wondering about that spike thing. I haven’t had it happen often though. I does happen quite a bit in transpose. Of course, that’s probably more of a masking thing? Or could that be a projection setting as well with masking? Will have to look into that.

Useless update I guess… Decided to drop the loose shredded bits. Crits welcomed.

Lumin8: Can’t say I’ve had spiking on transpose. I have had issues with transpose master not taking my pose through after i hit the tpose >subtool button. Maybe its cause i have to many sub tools and it freaks haha.Knucklehead4web.jpg
