Wow… I thought this last pic of the would get a comment or two… I must be doing something wrong…

I like the one in post #777 and the one with lots of orange in it. I’ve been experimenting by using the program as a painting program with the paintbrush and smudge tool with various other brushes and alphas.

hi deke, nothing wrong, may be its just as in my case, that zbc has sent the notice emails for subscribers to your thread so late. i just received mine… i find the image amazing, since for me the focal point is not the cubical construction, but the mystical flying creature in the background… and, this brings sense to the image for me. nice exploration.

Thanks Folks, My ego was just needing some stroking , my apologies for that…So anyway here is another Piece…

I agree, but there is more than one creature…
Sorry, for missing your posts Deke. Too many friends-artists around, two many forums. LOL
Very good, last one.
A tip: you can polypaint it, then, using the 3dprint Zplugin, ask for VRML export. This can be imported into cycles/blender, input the name of this Vpaint set in the attributes node (Col is the default name, so use it - case sensitive!). Now plug it to the color input of Diffuse BSDF and render the polypaint. But you can do more, as this polypaint-Vpain can be used as a factor on a color mixer or shader mixer. Mixing materials as in zbrush.

Wip 2 on the Spider piece, I thought the other one came through to dark…

And look at the moves Fragmentarium is making as well now…GREAT to have someone in Algo-Art community crossing over with Z-town!

Hi Deke, the beach one rocks! Sometimes I feel the way you do … We may just be posting in the wrong part of town!

Cheers, David

I’ll have to check on Fragmetarium, Yea I got sort of entranced with Fractals for a while now, The big challenge is to make fractals and recognizable organic creatures out of them…
Thanks for the visit… Deke

Well I was just feeling inadequate especially after spending a couple of hours on Gutalins thread… Thanks for the visit… Deke

I think this will be the last version of the Spider for a while… I think its the best one so far…?

Mandelbulb3d to Zbrush / levels done in CS2…

I think what makes this last image special is that it started out as an Mathematical Algorithm and became an Organic Creature, in this case a type of Spider…
I personally find that to be absolutely fascinating, do you ??

Comments ?? Critiques ?? Deke

totally used to that …lol…i am a mathematician, and as your program is called mandelblub, i guess the formula you mentione is related on the mandelbrot set, and hidden is the formulas z goes to z^2+c… but yes, visualizing math formulas can be pretty exciting, and you got a very nice example. indeed!

You’re a machine BF!

Great stuff man. I really like seeing your experiments and progress.
