Blue Ferrets ZBR4r2 Sketches

Thanks David , I was going for an “Alien Landscape Ancient Relic”… Deke

This looks very moss-covered now…as though it was once in use by its civilization but has undergone centuries of overgrowth. It’s interesting because the fractality is hard NOT to make look that way because that much organic surface detail instinctively generates the association of biological growth, that is – we are not yet accustomed to artifacts which are constructed to be that chaotic. I suspect this will change in the next hundred years because micro-automation, 3d printing, etc. all point toward a total freedom in construction.

really interesting and i agree with Mhued
and about this i suggest all of you zbrush eternauts to visit this link:

tell me what do you think

Spectacular very interesting for me:D

Thanks for the link, very interesting

i think i like the purple one better… more trippy…

The structures he’s created in real life are spectacular, I dream of being able to do that bring my creations to life like that in the real world…
I certainly got my eyes opened , must get some of that reading material to read… Thanks for giving me the opportunity to drool over that site…
It is given me a new way of looking at fractals… Deke

You would , judging by your artful use of startling shades of color, I prefer the darker cause it makes it feel more mysterious and composed… Deke

@ Lvxifer and MhueD
You see chaos I see order as patterns constantly repeating themselves, and I was going for the organic relic look on the last one…I agree that audience perception is changing as we flood them with new forms and methods of creating art and the computer in everyone’s life will force them to learn new ways of
looking at the micro and macro world…That was a mouthful, sorry about that… But I feel that…
Thanks for the insight… Deke

Thanks Dave , that was pretty much what I was going for,
I like your little buddies zippy and friends ( but what happened to the stiching? ) LOL Deke

The none Man Brass Band !

Fractal to mesh to zbrush and finnished there… A non-organic looking fractal I think ?

beautiful
one day to tell me how you do this of fractals,
are wonderful:D

A very good one Deke.
I also love the shader. :+1:

Well , I’ll try…

  1. Get mandelbulber3d
  2. Get Fiji
  3. Have Zbrush
  4. m3d to start use preset fractal
  5. export to voxel stack
  6. import voxel stack into fiji as image set
  7. export as mesh.obj
  8. import into Zbrush and away you go.......
This is a very rough workflow but it should get you started.. Make sure its mandelbulber3D, both apps are free under gnu license...... PS fiji uses alot of ram and my limit to import output meshes into zbrush is about 900 mgb meshes....

Hope that Helps you get started, If you have more questions later on , Be happy to assist… Deke

" The Birth Day Present "

Just a a little whimsical look at BirthDays…
Just a shadow box mesh and some patterns thrown on it…

The LightCap is quite convincing and so I was trying to discern what still looks ‘unreal’ about it. I decided the it was that the perspective distortion introduced by the camera lens in the original shot was different than the mathematical distortion of the rectilinear object by the Zbrush perspective function. I don’t know how to fix that – I suppose one could adjust the strength of the Zperspective, or shift the original photo using a 4 point skew in PS, or finally, possibly introduce a deformation in the object which ‘compensates’ in the proper way…?

Light cap Doodle…

Good work Blue. I really like the abstract “Steam Punk” looking piece.

thank you very much
sure to be a great help

Hi PFC, this Youtube video will show you the whole process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kpu-DZs9HXU

Cheers, David
