To make the last series of pieces , I use Mandebulber 3d18, Fiji for the conversion to mesh and Zbrush, Mandelbulber 3d18 and Fijiarer free under gnu license…
If you are interested I can help you wade through the interfaces… Deke

Hi Deke, thanks I, have Mandlebulb and Fiji and have beeb exporting Voxel stacks into fiji and then the OBJ file into Zbrush. My results while interesting do not seem to represent the whole fractal image and seem truncated instead of complete the way yours do? I must be doing something wrong!
Cheers, David
Well as Fractals are mans way of expressing the universe through mathematics, I can see how one could see it as religion expressed and I just
play a very small part in that . The folks who made these Programs are the real disciples for making the tools for us… Deke
Answered in your thread…
I call this Cats Cradle… Fractal mesh modeled and rendered in Zbr…
very cool … it appears to be seen through a microscope.
Cheers, David
Thanks David, This is an example of a fractal that I had to cut, the first time I saved it , turned out to be a 1.26 GB mesh which Zbrush couldn’t open …
It did take an 850 mb mesh, I was surprised to say the least… That came in at 8million points…
yes i like it , as David said seems something under a microscope
Thanks Michalis, Lvxifer and Chalkman my Impression was of Blown glass on steroids coming out of the furnace… LOL
I tried to use a fractal in a landscape to apply it to the natural world, the greenery around Brer Hare is all fractal to mesh…
i love this perspective too, thx
Wow…this is headed somewhere really impressive. Right now, it looks as though there is too much planar limit, but WITHIN the plane excellent naturalistic distribution. If you could get the z-position of the leaves to vary more I think you are there and it will look totally awesome.
On the previous ‘microscopic’ mandala-like image – have you seen the Radolaria illustrations of Ernst Haeckel? He was one of the early key defenders of the theory of evolution and his illustrations were originally meant as demos only, not as ‘art’. Among modern critics, though, he is seen primarily as a great artist.
Wow , a good reminder of how nature is just full of fractals all the time…Thanks
@ lvxifer, Thanks man appreciate you not looking to closely at the bunny… LOL … Deke
Hey Deke
Really enjoy the fractal piece post #745 on the previous page in here…small_orange_diamond:)
I bet you can get some amazing pond shore line water reflections using that technique…:)…Just a thought that crossed my mind…
Glenn:)
Thanks Glenn, even though I’m not sure which piece you are talking about, maybe you could point me on the right track
Fractal Collonade…
A fractal to mesh, which was quite difficult to achieve, then modeled and rendered in zbrush… any comments on how to improve this piece would be
really appreciated… Deke
Looks like remnant from another civilization … an Amphitheater, perhaps you could play around with that idea! At any rate very interesting image!
Cheers, David
Fractal Collonade 2
After Some thought I decided to repaint this to show off more of the details, I hope ?
