Hi people! Here is my submission for this contest Its been great to be a part of this challenge, and it just shows how cool is to work in a community, share tools and use them ,different and with great results! I will try to submit some WIP 's also
Comp’ing all the elements together to see if I want to go for the whole piece…
decided I want a tentacle column reaching up to the falling souls.
Will model that and put it in tomorrow
Then do proper res renders of the egg host in the foreground and comp those in, paint in the falling souls, accent all the highlights, fix some of the multi-pass oddities and do some final depth cue fixes (like that front knee and the arm behind it)and overall grading
Time for BEER!!!
I’ve lost count of the WIP numbers now
Was so quick and easy to do these, actually used some of the BK horns, pulled them about and then sculpted on top … lit them in ZB, 4 passes blended together, then a bit of grading and they sit nicely in the comp
Got to say, these monster packs are really helping me get past what feels like years of creative block… I haven’t felt this invested in a piece for a loooooong time.
Over the past 2 weeks I’ve come to feel like I owe a debt of thanks to you guys for giving us these; it’s such a pleasure (and relief!!!) to have great props to pose a composition out and know
even before you really start any hardcore sculpting that it’s worth pushing forward
Final push now… just the incubating corpse in the foreground to be rerendered out of ZB and I can hand it in… YAY
Hey guys, this is my final entry, I was inspired by the artwork for Diablo III. I used a lot of stuff for this one, hands, torso, head, horns…
Well, adjusted the angle for the final render and got such a nice set of passes from ZB for this that I think I now need to tart uip my demon to make it sit as nicely…
…tomorrow
Nearly there… nearlyzzzzzzzzzzzz
Inspired by the awesome Slamosta Gargoyle last night, a quick little red demon
cheers everyone !
Well, I think I can finally stop boring everyone to tears with this one …mainly because I can’t look at it objectively any more.
I think the eyes and red fingers are probably overkill, but I wanted the picture to focus on the monster primarily… cheap trick but hey,
anything to get the job done
Whatever happens, i had a blast doing this… good luck one and all
Mola Slamosta, buena suerte tio
A little bit of tease, she will show up after some make-up put on
Thought I might challenge myself to get another one done, even though this is probably not monstery enough
Bit frightened of modelling the gunera leaves (currently a tweaked photo) but I guess once I get one done…
…but definitely looking forward to the dino legs (which are adapted monster legs too)
No polypaint as yet, just a quick tint job in photoshop to figure things out… unfortunately my caterpillar
colours are a little reminiscent of Imaginism’s Bad Bunny Eater.
have to work on the expression of my apeman too, I’m thinking he should feel quite puffed up and pea****-y
with his new invention of stylish headware
Hi all,
This is going to be my first online challenge and I just have a quick question - in the rules it says you have to submit your name and URL.
This might be a daft question, but what URL?
Ta very much.
