babe in the wood. wip

Hey all,

Just want a break from skulls and dead things, so i’m making a " green" picture
B’cause i’m to lazy to model a body for my baby, i just use it’s head :stuck_out_tongue:
I’ts basic Zbrush stuff : 3D made from alpha’s, and Zsphere branches.
The bottom pic is just to set the mood for the rendering, the top pic is how
it’s going to look if it is finished !

Hope you like it

I looked at this earlier in the day, and came back back to view the image again.
What you’ve done so far is very interesting. The leaf textures are outstanding. The child’s face is quite well done. :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Thank you for your kind words Filament9,… Jotajota , my spanish is not so
good that i understand all , but i believe you don’t like the facial expression of
the child, as for my method in creating the image…i used my digital camera for
the leaf textures, made 3D-meshes in diff’rent meshresolutions from the leaf-alpha’s , made a little Zsphere hand, Zbrushed away and used the fiberbrush
to “shred” the leafs and to create a “noise” that looks like a naturel groundplane!

This new image started as a doodle but it looked interesting ( i hope ! ) so
i decided to post it!

Perhaps a picture explains better, by lowering your meshresolutions when making
3D from a alpha , you can get a sort of “ïnstant” decay for your leafmodel !

hey Jantim gracias…:+1: :sunglasses: me gusta su ultima imagen …mejoro la expresion ahora se ve mas infantil …el follaje se ve excelente …:+1: :+1: :+1:

Hi jantim, that is an interesting ‘decayed leaf’ technique. I’ll have to try that. 50.

Made an update on the face( hope jotajota likes it;) ) made a new treematerial
and used 2 variations in projectionmaster , i used no textures only materials !
Made a few snapshots of the same branch and used my leaf-alpha’s to spray
a sort of leaf/ funges on the branches !

   very good ,i like it ,i am doing a flower pic, i use the same me2222.JPG thod:)

Charming and good use of the Alpha :+1:
Pilou

Time for an update, made a new tree-character, a sort of treespirit !
For the tree’s i used two materials, i used one alpha 3d-mesh for cutting into
the tree’s , as a sort of barkmaterial !

Amigo…que buenas texturas…un muy buen trabajo:+1: :sunglasses:prefiero la primera imagen el enfasis en el tronco es mas natural …las manos le restan credibilidad a la imagen…

I think this wip is finished now, …i made the trunk of the "spirit"tree , looking
less like dead wood by using fresher green leafs, made the background tree’s
material a bit more blue, to make the main trunk more in front of the picture.
Made some bigger leafs, …i hope it looks greener and not to cluttered
The hand of the baby is perhaps a bit to large,…ah well, so its a kid with big
hands:p

I really enjoyed watching this work progress, great looking from the beginning to the end. Great use of colors and allot of detail! :+1:

Matt

Thank’s mmbenya

Glad you liked my wip, i think it’s alway’s nicer to see a work from start to
finish…instead off :" Hey look at the head/alien/monster i made"
I Would like to see more wips and finished works on this forum:)

:sunglasses: :+1: :+1: …me sigue gustandosu trabajo de texturas…

interesting version - of your own living forest :+1:

I still really like the original WIPs - the firast two images you posted.
Understated, but they work really well both in composition and texture and colour.

I very much like the last couple of images, but still prefer the slightly surreal aspects of the first two. The materials in the last set of posted images (the tree spirit ones) don’t seem to blend as well with each other…

Still, great work, and interesting to watch it all develop :+1:
