Amazing Work!!! More Pictures Please
My own humble effort.
It uses my model of IFBB professional bodybuilder Zack Khan (the right hand side is that model and then altered and painted in zbrush to make him into a na’vi).

That’s amazing, Its been a while back when i watched avatar last , but this bring memory back and it looks great, I gotta ask thou, what do you do with the characters you create afterwards, it this just a hubby? And i’m checking out ur 2 links now
Hi kici,
I’m not sure if you’re post was aimed at me or not but if so…
When I started the Zack Khan model I was just a beginner modeller but I’ve rapidly found work in the fitness industry since making it. I’m now being paid to develop logo / adverts / websites and more models. Amazing, especially considering how new to this I am (and that there are much better zbrushers out there than me). small_orange_diamond

It’s a thread about Scott Patton’s work on Avatar. Please don’t hijack it.
LY, I’m fairly sure Mr Patton hasn’t added to it in a long while so where’s the harm? Or are you a kill-joy for the fun of it?
Spamming another artist’s thread with your own images is considered impolite…
good work specially avtar bird…
Regardless of whether someone has posted in his thread recently, it is considered to be bad forum manners to post your own work in someone else’s thread. It’s called “hijacking” and will not win you a favorable impression with the rest of the forum.
I have removed the images in this thread that were not created by Patton. You are more than welcome to repost them in your own thread.
Thanks.
Fair enough.
My fault really as on the previous page I saw someone else’s attempts at a na’vi so assumed it was ok to post mine.
Wow Patton!
I didn’t imagine it was possible to be in touch with the real protagonists of the cinematographic industry!
I am more oriented to the caricatural animation but of course I love all CG.
I also am one of the few who reads the final titles in the movies (now it is harder because there are many distractions from the cool images and animations shown at the same time) to understand who did what and what it has been made with.
I have just bought a copy of ZBrush, now the journey begins, who knows if one day I will…
I have seen avatar movies on my favourite Hollywood channel star movies, after seen this movies people are talking about avatar character and many children are wish to meet avatar film character as a spiderman.
Simply amazing…
I know this thread is oldddd, but Scott you’re an inspiration… your Gnomon DVDs are probably the most entertaining CG training I’ve ever watched, and they single-handedly made me realize that it’s possible to think in days rather than weeks for character creation.
Can’t wait to see what you guys accomplish with John Carter.
??? What Gnomon DVD’s???
3d character design vol 1 and 2
I actually havent seen the second one all the way through, but I thought vol 1 was pretty frickin great. He does a character sculpt in real time, so you really get to see his process.
Awesome work, nicely done! Do you have a DeviantArt account? You will definitely receive a lot of positive feedback there.
