Athidi's Scetchbook

what I have gotten custom to is to use clay tubes brush a lot in the beginning to shape the volume and the mussels …

I then use smooth brush to smooth pretty much everything out… but I still keep most of the muscle lines…

then I go over with a standar brush with a sharp alpha brush to get the depth between muscles…

then I use inflat over the muscles get the lines out even more clearly.

I hope any of that made any sense to you… its basicly the whole prosess… not just the scetching…

I made a youtube video displaying how I sculpt… just for fun… and I added myself there, to make it a little more personal

it goes at 400 % speed… but you should get a better understanding of the scetch prosess from that …

Thanks so much for explaining the brushes you use etc. I think your method is quite effective.

happy to help
hope the video helped, you can see it much better in the video than I can explain it… Im bad at explaining technical stuff in english :stuck_out_tongue:

good luck, if you got any more questions Ill be happy to answer them.

I realy like the last one, good work! :+1:

i agree, last one looks very nice.

Beautiful work buddy…absolutely love the zbrush render.
twist those hands so that they face inwards…the wrists didnt have articulation points to do the old Jurassic park dangly hand pose.

Reptail eggs are not dry and cracked. You make them like they are discovered now, after millions of years but when those creatures were alive eggs were like those of today. Apart of that - nest suppose to protect eggs not expose them. Apart of that I like it

thanks for all the replies and hard facts =) they will come in handy as i keep moving forward with completing this model… Im going over to retopo and texturing

im very psyked to see Avatar… So i did a little sculpting on a male bust I had… It ended up like this by the end of the day…
I used the few reference pictures I could find of a female Na’vi and started to sculpt… its a early wip, specialy the hair… :stuck_out_tongue: it was fun though…
cant wait for the movie…

Cool times lapse, fast and efficient process. I like ur clean up stage the most, May I ask you wat brush did you use for cleanning smoothing up after laydown all claytube brush, it seems really clean and non destructive, not like shift - smooth brush or is it?

it is smooth brush… what I do is that I take medium sized strong smooth brush… and go over areas… not everything… but forinstance lips, eyes, so on and I follow the skin in a way…

cool, thanks for the tip, I am so pumped waiting for the show too.

a scetch I did today… and a youtube video of some detailing, transposing, fog, and rendering…

did it without a concept… it shows… I know… :stuck_out_tongue:
