well, its a great concept. and its modelled well. if you want it finished, i guess just make it look more organic. smooth out some of the creases. pose him. give him wrinkles veigns pores etc. not much left pefore you can call him finished as a bust.

thanks for the reply… I was actually working on him a little bit more before Im going to bed… think I pulled off some of the things you requested… here you go… hope you like it :stuck_out_tongue:

i decided to make a body for my alien…
so I hope I will be able to finish this character someday…

this is an early wip…

what I did was that I took the bust I had made and exported the low poly to max.

then I made a body out of zspheres, exportet it to max and attached the two togheter.

I then welded them togheter and fixed things I felt was wrong in the topology… it isnt a perfekt topology, but it works… the biggest issue is that I have way to many polygons on the hand area…

Then I imported the new basemesh into zbrush and sub tooled it to the previous bust… and projected the old head onto the new basemesh that has a body.

it has some errors when you mix the mesh, like I had to sculpt around the eyes again… but it works…

positive and negative words are welcome…

This is a pretty sweet looking design so far.

Maybe since you are going with a longer and narrower feature set, you may want to change the pectoral muscles and collar bones to have a similar slope to them. The upper torso still feel very distinctly human.

Can’t wait to see more updates!

Looking very nice so far, ver interesting design. Keep posting

cant wait to see whatt you do with the rest of him.

a couple of things Ive been working on lately

Great sculpts! I love the red matcap you used for this dino. What matcap is this or did you make this yourself?

I have begun detailing.

Really nice I love it. Nothing to critique. Are you going to add teeth to it? I like how you shaped the muscles in the initial sketch, (the red dino one) did you use a special brush for that. How did you do that?

what I have gotten custom to is to use clay tubes brush a lot in the beginning to shape the volume and the mussels …

I then use smooth brush to smooth pretty much everything out… but I still keep most of the muscle lines…

then I go over with a standar brush with a sharp alpha brush to get the depth between muscles…

then I use inflat over the muscles get the lines out even more clearly.

I hope any of that made any sense to you… its basicly the whole prosess… not just the scetching…

I made a youtube video displaying how I sculpt… just for fun… and I added myself there, to make it a little more personal

it goes at 400 % speed… but you should get a better understanding of the scetch prosess from that …
