Artworks & WIP

thx for support…here is another one for tonight (still studying materials+polypaint & texture both in 3D and 2.5 D)
…i’m starting to see my space around me like made in wires imagining UVs on all objects etc…it’s a real trip after working on ZB too much ahaha

Waaoooo… usted es un maestro de la textura, Felicidades

Another test to study the effects of various materials combined from different renderings in PS , hope you like it , c&c are always welcome.
Regards

It just gets better as you go on… I like… must just make time to get some work in this style done on my side…

Keep it up…

Very nice!

thx! here is another version…what do u think?

Looking really good! I would punch it up a little in photoshop, show more amazing details!

If you want to give it a try, in Photoshop duplicate the layer and set it to overlay. Then go filter - Other - High Pass, Set between 2-6… This will sharpen up the details.

You can also go Image - Adjustments - shadow/highlight to help the dark areas.

Your style improves from day to day. Looks very much like Giger now, I like that. :+1:

oh yes, i’ve tried…it looks cool in this way too thx for your suggestion  when you have an image like that to experiment u have more than one alternative concerning lights/shadows etc
in this case the interesting thing was how 2 materials interact in photoshop with 2 renders i mean: dj_carpaint.zmt and web_quicksilver.zmt (founded both online) with this i’ve obtained the image above (in particular the red lights on the dark metal that in my mind i wanted to be similar to the wings of some coleopters)

You blow my mind!

many many many thx…i hope to have more control on all the details to come up with something “new”…actually all the last images i’ve posted are only experiments
and Giger is and always will be the main inspiration, he is “the Master”…i went in Switzerland in his Museum and i’ve collected some of his strictly limited prints he has my total admiration of course.

Many thx Sigmund, you have done an interesting work too…i’m sure you’ll release something cool if you explore more the tecqnique behind it…Zbrush offers so many ways for creativity beyond imagination

Interesting, keep it up

thx my friend, you have done a great job i’ve seen your gallery very good work
Love the sci-fi

I think you’ve worked out the atmosphere very well, Its very rich in materials a nd details a real you to keep looking at … Deke

thx , the more you work on things like that the more you reach the control of all parts/details sometimes this can be total chaos eheheh :
too many groups splitted and too many subtools, high subd levels, various sculpting process in 3d and 2.5d ,sometimes textures, various renders with different materials , lots of customed alphas, very big document sizes etc…it’s easy to become mad and stressed

i’ve noticed that one can work on a little canvas eventually and render the subtools bigger, than move them inside the canvass windows and compose all the render in photoshop to have a big size document instead on working on a big size doc since the beginning that increase the pc process, sometimes is very low when rotating and positioning the tools … my english is horrible hope u know what i mean

…AND i forget to say if there is a way to make groups with different subtools to move them easily (as in 3ds max infact sometimes i use goZ for posing the subtools) otherwise if you create an object with many tools and import it(them) in another scene (not in 2.5D) is difficult to move it properly without move each part eachtime and without merge the subtools that creat a mesh with too many polygons
…a function like: select the subtools u want, make a “group” and call it as u want (without merging them) just for move , rotate and size … someone help me

Made some post render passages in Photoshop as suggested me by FXMatter and the result is a more pittoric vision that i sincererly like, want to hear something from you friends

I think it’s cool. It has an ominous feeling to it. :+1:small_orange_diamond:sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

I like them experiments -> I loved seeing Gutalin’s take on the Giger style, but yours is equally cool to watch (and see evolve) :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:
