Artworks & WIP

Thx u very much…i’m working on another one in the meantime, stay tuned :wink:

I may have mentioned this before, and you are probably already familiar with it, but ‘Art Forms in Nature’ by Ernst Haekel has some of the best Radiolarian illustrations EVER! It is also interesting that, originally, he didn’t intend them as ‘art’…but as reinforcements of his lectures defending Darwin.

Yes of course i know Ernst Haekel and his illustrations, beautiful no doubt.
Some of what i’m doing while i’m writing you reflect the influence of Haekel too and Escher as i’ve said. Hopefully personal btw.

Just wanted to say I really enjoy looking at your art…really awesome! I love your earlier images in this thread, but these newer ones I think I enjoy even more. They remind me of scanning electron microscope images, which I’m sure you’re familiar with. Keep up the good work!

Dude–
Each of these is more inspired and impressive than the one previous to it!!! You are on fire…seriously.

Are you going to progress to color or are these purely form-oriented studies?
–m

I agree with MhueD. These are coming better and better.
Somehow they remind me the “planète sauvage” movie. If you haven’t seen it, here it is. IMO, a masterpiece.

thx you very much guys, here is a better resolution version.
The original is bigger of course , i’ll add some infos and aswer you properly about this work later.
Thx for watching!

OUCH…!! this makes me feel like i have put my hand into a nest of barbed wire…!! your work just keeps getting better and better… wicked

Wonderful work … a bit like Meats Meyer gone organic! :smiley:

Cheers, David

Very cool abstract stuff.

Hey man, what you doin here is beautiful, very innovative usage of Zbrush and absolutely amazing. I agree with michalis its time for a top row. :+1:

Wow…what a trip down memory lane…that movie was a major hit in my home town (Boulder, Colorado, USA) when it came out. We had it shown at several different art cinemas downtown and at our International Film Series. Many people saw it several times and you could refer to it in conversations as a kind of adjective-gestalt to describe a certain psychedelic aesthetic. There was a feeling then that Czech animation was cutting edge…I don’t know what that artistic subculture is like now, whether the artists transitioned to 3D, etc…am going to google that up.

@Duppy, thx you, yes i like this new things too personally and there are some things in common with microscope images
@MHUED and Michalis thx you very much guys it’s very important for me. Actually these are in grey scale, i like them in this waybut maybe i could try something in colours (liek the first ones) will see. About Planet Sauvage, i knew it but always forgot to watch it,i’m looking at it now…amazing surreal and psychedelic…love the soundtrack too. Some images of plants and landscapes reminds to what i’m doing now…i think there is something in common with some illustrations of Tyrellcorp more (thx you man) while mine are full of spikes and thorns and less smooth;
@chalkman thx, yes hope Meyer will aprreciate this;
@tonare thx you for watching;
@stone3D top row or not i say thx to you all for giving me motivation and make some discussion on various forms of art and exploring new ways with zbrush.
