finding nice ways for presentation…just for fun
Hey LVXIFER you are a warkoholic, great progress of your artwork. Did you ever render one of your projects in print resolution?
fantastic exhibition
where we have to go to see it?
a hug:D
Luvin this last batch of works posted…Beautiful presentatation small_orange_diamond:)…Those gold leafed 1,000 dollar frames really enhance the pieces of art within them…excellent choice…
Glenn
yes for sure, i want try a material called Dibond and lamba prints on alluminium…even if i don’t have so large sizes as simulated above
If i want to enlarge them so much (i mean 120x80) i should draw them in photoshop (like painting) to eliminate the pixel
Actually the max sizes is around 50x70…sadly…
In Hell ahahah
thx my friend, when another 3D from u ?
thx Mr Glenn …ah the frames are great
the best would be biomechanical sort of frames…i should design one could be interesting
thx as always
Have you tried Marcus Document MaxResize Script? I don´t know if it works for 4R4

in hell?
than good
I’m always there
You are the man, you have saved my life …i’ve installed that great plug in - it works perfectly…i’ve just tryed to export the Stele image, the result is 9 frames composed in photoshop obtaining a file at 300 dpi 100x70 …it is INCREDIBLE…i’ve added a little blur for some pixel but it is perfect for high res print images and large dimensions
The difficult was when you have to position the model on a very large canvass (A PAIN IN THE ****) , the script made everything you can work on a little canvass too, just set the dimension for the output, it scales the model to fit the new dimensions then click on the export button - PERFECT.I
I’ll post something new with this approach when i’ll have some time
Thx again to you all and to Marcus for this (a genius)
Pretty awesome sir, my respect for you grows daily…Deke
that last one - wow!
The nice thing is, that you can get lost in it. The longer you look, the more one discovers. Gorgeous and epic.
Thanks for that!
Cheers,
TM
Nice work Luxifer
is a print on paper?
Hi there and well done on your work. For your info I had an exhibition in Europe a year ago and the entire show was printed on either a plotter for the smaller ones (like 1 meter square on paper) and the big ones were done on Roland plotters on VINYL which gives you a very soft and elegant finish with a semi gloss finish. The color quality is very good and the other aspect is that they can be stuck onto 1 or 2 or 3 milimeter plastics which gives them a very good backing which you can then frame and mount to your liking. The big question for me was the maintenance of the fine detail and here you must compromize with the end result size that you want and the detail that you want.
The interesting thing is that the end result in the eye of the beholder is quite different to the logics of the printing. Getting fine detail requires as high a resolution start image at the best DPI that you can squeeze out of your productioin workflow. In ZB that was at that stage around 4K and then in finishing in Photoshop it was upsampled to a larger size with the sharpen mask filter applied just a bit to regain the detail that was slightly lost during resampling. OK I know this is not a pure high detail finish. The question is what you want. I wanted a finish that did not show any pixelation and was pleasant to the eye in the sense that it was smooth. I got that and it was very successful. The computer generated feel was totally dismissed by this procedure.
Also I noticed that the images are still identical to the way they were a year and half later. Only time will tell but the beauty is that you can always have them reprinted and usually as time goes by the quality of the printing world improves so you get a better and better result as the years go by. A bit different to the traditional way and quite a funny joke on the precsiousness of art in general.
I include a few of images to showcase what I have said. In regards to the files size: I used 300 or 600 DPI files that were between 4 and 8 K and around 5 to 10 MB size. The largest piece was 2 meters by 1.3 meters but I could easily have gone larger. Worked great.
PS I forgot to mention that these vinyl prints are able to be clearcoated and then are washable and dustable and also do not require glass which is really great because as you know glass really is a pain in the arse and expensive. The lambda prints are great but I am suspicious as to their durability which is also the case for silver prints. I think these require the protection of non reflective glass but I may be convinced otherwise by someone. Remember that the environment of the end user is unknown. If they have kids then your artwork is in a war zone.

Looks great! Is it an archival ink jet print? I think you mentioned Lamda at one point. Next you need a 3D print of this!
Cheers,
David
thx u guys and yesss…i need money for a 3d print eheheh
I’m watching you, everything still liking me… but the Chair… absolute composition!!!
Last one, indeed, WOW, and well presented.
the best would be biomechanical sort of frames…i should design one could be interesting
This is what I thought, from the first time.
Why don’t you?
I believe it should be less bio- more geometrical. A small opposition to your art piece.
(the best frames I ever seen, Max Ernst’s artwork. I still remember a great exposition in athens, 34 years ago LOL. Then, I learned , frames carved and painted by him, a real extension of his work)
