This is a rough layout of the windscreen design, no details in this shot.
I finished the normal map today for the windscreen and seat rest and will post a new render tom.

Pretty bad ass :+1: :+1: The bike and renders look great, really creative use of the alien head design.

This is just a test shot with some custom texures.
I am going to make this an abandoned looking Bike, so that is why there is rust. The shell has slight SSS features that I have been testing. Sort of an organic plastic…
The windscreen, seat, and exhaust-pipes were modeled and normalmapped in Zbrush.
Working on a sort of Titanium metal for the front rim and shocks. It’s not done, so I DOF’d the front wheel assembly out.
The light rig is also a work n progress with 4 lights of varying degrees of colour(heat) and intensity.
There are also two HDRI maps attached to the reflective and refractive qualities of the different metals involved.
Trying another render when I have time over the weekend which I will post.

I’m looking forward to the finished piece, for now, the clear black one of your forelast picture is my favorite. But that’s only because I haven’t seen the finished version yet :wink:

Here are new textures done, with alot of other adjustments.
Still some things to tweak.

Looking cooler man! However my issues with your tires really come to the fore now! I mean wow, those things are stiff! Supporting all that weight on the edges like that! (Sorry been road racing cars since I was 17 - legally! And only BFG has ever had tires even remotely that stiff, but only on the outer wall and none made for bikes :wink: )

I suppose with all the increased acid rain of the future - having a ride that won’t disintegrate is going to be worthwhile!

Might I suggest knocking down the specularity of your alien-hide material. It should look like smooth glass, with a lite mist of moisture. Well if you are trying to match the Alien critters.

Really cool concept Odhinn, i would suggest significantly lowering the specular highlights on the alien cover, removing the rust altogether as it feels out of place. Might be cool if the open alien mouth revealed the bikes front light as well. Overall though i like it alot very original.

Working on the spec reflect with a great deal of renders but it will need the weekend for proper testing. A few hours after work just isn’t cutting it. Hope you are well.

Slocik:
Changed the colour to custom paintjobs. Both colours have alot of layers to them. If you look closely at the rear bumper of the blue bike, you can see a oily wax layer. The layer is 10,000mm thick. Quite proud of that look I managed to get from the shader.

Thanks. The rendering tests have taken longer than the modeling (lol). Working the spec problem.

Damn, it’s starting to look better and better, I really like the coloring of the bikes.
