hey this latest render rocks!!! congratulations!
don’t touch me!
looks great! glad all’s well dude!
New render with new textures (shaders) and less artifacts…
Ever: Thanks buddy, been working hard on metal shaders over the last few months. The piece is backlit which I agree helps the contrast.
Andreseloy:
Big fan of your work bro as well. Glad you like this.
Tartan:
Thanks, I have figured some things out with Renderman in Maya and the renders are tighter. I think that I will explore the theme of metal and flesh further.
Ron:
Thanks my friend, I added the chrome to show more contrast between the other " heat stressed " metals. I plan on trying this with a metal skull hinged with skin.
Pinkarman:
The render took one hour or so and crashed about 30 times.
Maya is finicky when you crank the settings. I got to the point of crossing my fingers with each new render attempt. Thanks alot.
Pete:
Thanks buddy, pounding away and still kicking. Happy you liked it bro.
Started this today…
Here are the basic low poly wires. The figure was done in Zbrush and posed in Maya. I rotated the second view so you guys could see a different perspective.
This is really amazing! Simply Amazing!!
Wenna:
Thanks for those nice words of encouragement. Working as hard as I can.
This a close up of the victims face. Still low poly around 40,000 faces. Going for a look of horror as the second guy begins to tear the flesh off him. Another happy piece (lol).
Nice work. BTW, why do you use such large bold font? I think it distracts the viewers eye.
how can i post one of my images on here?
This is cool, great expression.
Maybe round off the top lip a little. Looking forward to the emd product.
MasterChief4: As for posting images on a new thread, its pretty easy.
Just go to the Main page, then the Zbrush Main Forum and click Post New Thread at top left. The rest should speak for itself, just read the details on the page.
As You Can See I Have Already Posted Three Threads Thanks To You.
Thanks for all the comments guys…
Did this after work, working on two projects at once.
This is a Skin Mask which will used in the piece.
No details added yet, wrinkles etc.
almost looks like it should be a mold from someones head. realalistic
Being a major fan of Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre films, I know I am going to love your use of this wonderfully modeled face/skin…very kewl work as always…give us more more more more more… seriously…thanx for sharing the update.

SkinMask looks superb, dude
Thanks guys, really glad you like it so far.
Ron,
I am on a bit of a tangent to see if I kind combine this with machinery. Trying some textures tom. Funny you made the comment about “chainsaw” as it would seem that way but I swear to God I never thought of that reference.
Trying to take this in a more H.R.Giger direction or even Lovecraft. Not sure if I can pull it off or not. thanx buddy.
Abyssis,
Thanks for the support, try and give a colour displacement render tom.
Here is a displacement test done in Renderman.
Map was created in Zbrush.
Around 4000 faces. Could have rendered this at around 1100 polys but I like to be on the safe side when it comes to detail.
For those of you who are interested…
this was rendered as a subdivision surface. I did not convert it to sub from poly but I told Renderman to act as if if was.
Turtle does the same thing if you take the time to understand how displacement maps are handled in Rendering software. Hope the tip helps.
Here is a test using sss shaders in Renderman.
Lots of settings to tweak with this type of render.
This is completely back lit.
Here is the lighting rig…

Thanks for the comments and continued interest bro
