Applying Polypaint onto texture map

Thanks all is well.
Trying to make the GoZ from Kostas work (see post below)
I’m able to transfer the maps, but I’m trying to make that button work (as it amazing :frowning: )
Thanks in advance if you can look into it.

Using XP (which is no longer supported by anything…) so that might be the problem.

Project All is the way to go but what you need to do is store a Morph Target (Tool>Morph Target>Store MT) for the target mesh before you project, then you can restore the sculpting (without losing the polypaint) after the project (Tool>Morph Target>Switch).

Thanks,
I got it to work, but I’m struggling (yes I feel like I’m behind everyone…)
Softimage (the main program that I use) requires so many steps to make a texture, disp. map and everything else look
decent so I tried installing the GoZ button from Kostas. here: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?168399-GoZ-For-Softimage

If anyone could troubleshoot the same process to find my problem, I’d be really happy. It feels like a huge time saving process and, right now, its what I need.

Actual problem:
When I take my model (polypainted, detailed etc) and press “All” or “GoZ” which is supposed to send the specific model or “All” of the subtools with their textures to softimage, it encounters this message: " unable to open the file= C: user/public/pixologic/GozBrush/Scripts/Goz_exportfromZbrush

I use a pc: windows xp (x64), Zb 4r4
I read all the thread and encountered the same problem as “kilowhat” which I fixed before reading the topic, but I’m still stuck because I dont seem to have any documents at this specific location : Public\Pixologic\GoZProjects < seems to be missing… maybe from the initial download provided by Kostas?

Nor do I have the scripts in the GoZBrush/Scripts >:(

Any leads would help… but there are definitely missing documents or Idk. I’ll look into “hidden files”, but I doubt its the case. I have to be honest here… my knowledge is limited despite I followed a prog class… and I’d rather give more time into creating than understanding a program (no offense). So far I love zb!

Thanks!

In order to create, you must understand  Upgrading your OS to at least Win 7 would allow you to update your ZBrush. Might help. I’d avoid Win 8 if possible.

Yes, clearly… I agree with you.
and yea… xp <_< such a facepalm, but I have to deal with it.

The OS is the likely candidate, as XP is no longer supported by Pixologic or (even Microsoft).

Perhaps the solution should instead be finding a way to decrease the setup time in softimage. I imagine a material compound would make it quick work, as you’d only have to create the material once and then the rest is just swapping out the relevant maps.
