A little over 2 hours in wings3D…
Going to finish this later. Want to start a new one. This was my first attempt at a robot mecha thingy so it sucks in detail and form but I see alot of little details and ideas I would like to work on. Amazing Robos guys!
No doubt of the useability of wings!!
Rendered in …C4D???
Well done!
Hi MtB
Cool modeling
Maybe a rendering too polish shiny shining bright
Pilou
this is a great model!maybe you have the time to write some tuts for wings3d,would be great.
Pilou, do you really think so? I mean: this robo is sort of new born - I like 'em fresh !
Hi Ze
For me the white is too contrasted!
It’s a wip, i am quasi sure that Mtb Change that for the finished work
Pilou
But, just look at this light: smooth against the shiny surface of the robo, I like it a lot!!
It just my impression, but the rendering prog don’t make generaly not such separated colors
In any case impressive picture
Pilou
I am so sorry, Pilou: SOME RENDERER’S DO! Why don’t you believe your eyes? You can almost grab the robo.
Zerebrush-Yes
Pilou-NO!
MWOAHAAHH!
Thanks for the commrnts everyone.
I am considerng making some animations of my modeling…coming soon…
Here is another few hours of tweeking.
Hi MtB
You said No but you refine your rendering as I seen for smoothing reflects colors on your model
White has now some blue inside
Cool model indeed
Pilou
I have said “generaly” not “never”
Personally Mike, I think the clean forms, and, (at least at this stage), lack of excessive detail are VERY effective…
It makes it look vey much like the product of a high-level technology, which I sense was your aim. Further detailing, if restrained, and carefully considered, such as small digital read-out panels, and some carefully placed indication of panel fasteners, equally high-tech, will take this baby out of the shop, and onto a high-gravity methane-based atmosphere planetary body, with rediculous ease…
Very nice, and clean piece…
Just curious, but why do you model in wings when you have C4d?
Huh amazing piece of work!
@Matuka: exactly THAT is the reason (without trying to answer for MtB who is quite capable of doing this - and more )!!
No, serious: Wings is nothing but a modeller while C4D is one step from making your coffee, too. Wings ist just easy and fun to work with.
Blame it on the different timezone - our day starts while you “over there” are still snoring !
Thanks guys.
I like modeling in wings becuase I really like its approach. Its easy to work with in my world.
Just like some people to prefer either starting or ending their work with ZBRush…its just right in their world.
The hardest part - for me - is to place some bones into any model. I always end up with a tangle of bones, pointing in all directions, VERY impressive but good for nothing. If there only would be a modeller that could do this job REALLY easy!!
Wonderfull work MTB! A truely hi-tech mech.
Waiting eagerly for updates!
Wonderful work…
I’m learning 3D wings…
Thank for share.
