Is it compatibil with Zbrush 4R7/8?
nm.
Just a stripped down version of ZBrush 4R7?
Don’t get me wrong. Its great for people that are just starting out
I wish it was out when before buying the full version.
Question: Could full zb seat holders get a free download of this as well? It might have a simpler interface, be less resource intensive, or there might be some work flow changes that might be better suited to mobile use like the Surface tablet.
I already hold the full license, and it would seem silly to have to pay for a stripped down version as well.
Can Core create and import alphas?
Quite excited about ZBrushCore. I have a Surface 3 Atom so I’ll see how it runs using just the Surface Pen as a tablet and with my Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch when I used it in desktop mode. I just got 8 GB of RAM to put in my Core2 Quad Tower, I will that as my ZBrushCore PC at home. I’m looking forward to October 14th!
Me too. Looking forward to tomorrow. For some reasons, i’ve been delayed with getting into ZB so this is perfect timing. Have a bunch of sketches and concepts to be realized in 3D. This is the perfect tool. Watching the Summit workflows is a good warm up, in addition to the YT videos to get prepped.
I got my ZbrushCore activation email! It was in my Junk folder. Getting it now!
what about the 4R8 update?
it was announced to Oct_14…
ZBrushCore was announced for October 14. No date has been given as of yet for 4R8.
still waiting for my email.
The emails have to go out in batches. The first batch went out overnight. The rest should go out over the course of the day, barring an unforeseen issue.
It’s a bit funny not have a demo or a trial version at this stage…
thanks for the advice!
No mask by lasso?! Makes no sense when there is a select by lasso. Just turns masking that way into three or four steps when it should be just one.
No “polygroups by uv” is another big one, but that’s specialized and obscure when compared to mask by lasso which seems like a pretty CORE feature to me.
PS. I’m not unhappy with Core overall. I bought it to teach and it looks like it’s going to be great for introducing Zbrush to beginners and hobbyists. But yeah if you could add one feature back into core that would be it.
I hope they’ll be open to user feedback on features
Hi guys, a bit of advice please. I got my zbrushcore email with activation this morning and now I am at a quandary of which of my systems to install it on. I will put one install on my work pc connected to a 21" Cintiq but for my home system I have an Alienware x51 connected to a Wacom 12wx however I also have a Surface Pro 3 i5. Since we can only have two installs what do you guys recommend? I like the idea of using core on the surface as a mobile solution but fear I wont get a great experience. Any recommendations?
You can install it on as many computers as you wish but can only have two activated at a time. So you can actually try with both computers, deciding which you like best.
Within the ZBrushCore folder you will find the Pixologic Deactivation Manager. Running this will let you deactivate that copy but it will not uninstall it. Then you can activate the other one. Test them both out and keep the one that works best for you.
I’ve received word that the pre-order promotion will continue until midnight tonight, Pacific time.
Once it’s gone, it’ll be gone forever. Enjoy that 20% discount while you still can. :)
hey Aurick: I received my code as well. Will be using my PC. Are you also offering an additional 50% discount if you order for a Mac copy as well? (Same as full ZB) Thanks.
Yes. As with ZBrush, simply submit a Support ticket and include your serial number from the PC copy.
I just got Zbrush-Core and I am liking it a lot but I would be interested in upgrading to a full version of Zbrush. How much more would this be?
Thanks
