Not to burst your bubble, but the original release date for Zbrush 4 was LAST august. 
I feel like the kid on Christmas morning opening gifts in front of his family, struggling to hide his feelings as he carefully tears away the wrapper of the last present only to find it’s not what had been hoping for…
You see although I am grateful for all the wonderful Goodies you have added to Zbrush I really am, and they have been free I know!
But what I really really really want, is GoZ for lightwave.

I’ll go out on a limb here and suggest that Pixologic has decided to mend their reputation and will release on the date they said they would, Aug 9th.
I think they are probably taking the tongue lashing they got with 3.5 quite seriously.
Why do I think that? Well, last time they gave a certain month for the release, not a specific day. So This represents more certainty. What’s more is I think last time they discovered last minute bugs where if they released it, they’d have been no better than stupid autodesk. I think this time, they tested the ever-lovin’ $#!% out of it to be damn certain that they could give a real release date.
Last time, it seemed like they where debugging up until (and during) the release. I think they’ve just been more thorough about things this time.
sigh. we shall see. I’m just being hopeful.

Great news – and I’m glad that it will be a free upgrade. I must say, purchasing ZBrush 3 a while back turned out to yield great value for the money.
One question: for how much longer will ZBrush still support Windows XP? I’ve been reluctant to upgrade.
Funny my post was deleted for being excited about 3d connexion support and painted layers.
Is it because I consider the other new features fluff?
