Devil’s Advocate response… how many chickens are in this picture? One. The rest haven’t hatched.

Zbrush doesn’t support 3D cards at all, it uses a software renderer.
Sounds fantastic, i hope the screen fefresh bug has been fixed, its really hard to tweek meshes the way things are. Not a rant, i can live with it, but would be nice.
Can someone make a list of what we know about it… new features, etc.
All I have read is there is going to be some kind of animation program incorporated…?
Yeah that is annoying, but I dont think XSI will see the next year out, so that’s probably why the developers are not in a rush.
As a Lightwave user i see this as a time to make a change. Alot of the other ones not there…makes the jump to MODO for me all the better. And Maya is my next to learn for work purposes. Still…as a PC user…cant wait to even use GoZ at all!!
forgot one other little gem, will we get…
- 64bit support
really looking forward to this release. I wonder how many divisions of geometry zbrush will be able to handle when it goes 64bit and can utilize more than 3gb of ram?
What will the update policy be for mac 3.2 and will 3.2 docs and tools be supported in 4.small_orange_diamond:D
Great news! We’ll see if i will have to switch my pipeline to another software or keep it with Z. I love Z, but 3.5 gave me lots of hadeake (ZProject not working) and much worse final results due to bad normal and displacement maps.
I hope we’ll get:
- ZMapper’s way to bake normal maps
- Working ZProject brush with handy stencils
- 64bit support
- …everything working that worked well before.
Ok that first part would seem to be already answered.
I am very pleased about the new Version
Just today I am fighting with our beloved ZBrush and I can do not cease.
It is so great and unique in the opportunities, that I probably will always live with it.
Im looking forward and waiting patiently. Mainly, it is still as good or better yet
Well from what I can tell it will be around longer than that…they are hiring additional devs for soft as we speak And it is exceeding sales expectaions.
