***Announcing ZBrush 4 for Windows And MacOSX

I’m pretty sure this is accurate. I was at the pixologic booth at Siggraph and heard the same.
I go through RFX for all of my software. They handle software for many of the CG studios in LA. For around $500.00 a year all of my stuff stays upgraded and maintained. Their Support is top notch! They maybe the way to go for getting the best deal on upgrades. Check them out. They have a lot to offer!

I guess with ten million people all trying to upgrade at the same minute there were bound to be problems, but I simply checked my email, followed the links and instructions and within a minute or two I had Z4 all ready to go.

No doubt the process will become smoother as days go by, but then I don’t blame anyone for wanting to get their hands on Z4, it is pretty damned amazing!

I think first movie doesn’t work

I went to the webpage with my cleverbridge reference number for my registered Zbrush 3.5. All looks in order.

Does this mean I will be receiving an email notification to download 4.0?

Just wanting to make sure and not leaving it up to assumption. Or Am I missing something? I have the same email…nothing has changed there. So…am I good on this or…what?

Thanks for any input…confirmation or advice on what I need to do. Hopefully just be patient. I have had Zbrush since 04. Wonder how they choose the pecking order for notification?

Deep in the polygonal Block that is Pixologic an elderly blind woman cranks a handle a specific number of times. Cranking this handle spins a large cage filled with wooden balls. On these balls are inscribed the Cleverbridge numbers we have each been assigned. The woman then closes her eyes, reaches into the cage and withdraws a single wooden ball.
That’s how they’ve determined the random order of the likes of us, or they’re using a really big dart board.

As you seem ready to have your wooden ball picked…am I also ready? I am referring to my description of my cleverbridge registration page above your comment?

Well I got my download…but I also go this error message where the serial number was supposed to be. Bummers!

So I just dashed off a letter to customer service. Now it looks like I will have a long wait to get this ticket submitted and answered. Has anyone else received this message on their cleverbridge registration page?

If when doing a web activation you fill out the form, click the confirmation page and then receive a server error please do not worry. With the huge number of requests hitting the activation server all at once it is having difficulty keeping up. In this situation, the solution is simple:


  1. Click the Back button that will be displayed in the web page.
  2. The previous page should now give a message saying that ZBrush has already been activated on this machine. That’s what you want to see.
  3. Click the button below that message to resubmit the information and request your activation code again.
You may need to repeat these steps several times before the activation code is generated successfully. You will not lose any additional activations from your serial number, however. That’s what the message in step 2 was for – the system recognizes that this is a request for the same computer and so will generate a key without deducting another activation from your account.

And it worked !!! after several times !

I am not sure I understand. I have NO serial number to enter into the serial number fields on the activation page. So, when I click on the “submit activation” button I get a little window that contains this:

Correction:
Please provide a serial number for field 1.
Please provide a serial number for field 2.
Please provide a serial number for field 3.
Please provide a serial number for field 4.

and there is no back button. Should I just enter anything into the serial number field? Like my old 3.5 registration number?

I tried entering anything in the serial blocks and it said it was the wrong email address…and it also had the back button you mentioned…when I clicked the button it was back to a blank form. I tried this a number of times with the same result.

I then entered my 3.5 serial. This time it said the serial was invalid or for an earlier version (smart) and when I clicked the back button it was again a blank form. I tried this four or five times…but with the same result.

What did you enter into the form for the serial number?

yeah the site is getting hammered it took me about 3 tries to finally get mine. I wish the would find a different provider. This is a pain ever time with this Cleverbridge company

Did you get a serial number to enter? I got an error message where the serial number was supposed to be…a mysql error…I posted it a few posts back…on the previous page.

I tried filling out the form and hitting the back button like Michel instructed but to no avail.

So again, did you get a number or some error like I got?

This is beyond frustration… and the link from the email is only good once. So I am stuck with an error message instead of a serial number. I want to scream…but capital letters just won’t cut it.

I just called the 866 number for the cleverbridge folks and was told that my problem is happening a lot and that Pixelogic is trying to work out the technical error that is causing the problem and that once that is done then cleverbridge will deliver another email to those getting the upgrade notifying each person that the problem has been resolved…hopefully with instructions to be able to fix the problem and finally open this new software.

Bad news is that he said it could be a couple of days.

It was nice to speak to someone who verified my situation was not an isolated one…but still…bummers!

I pushed the button over 20 times before it worked. But it worked ! Be patient and try again and again until you get the activation number. You’ll get it, don’t panic.
