In my life and time, the only other Software that I have come across that has a free upgrade for life policy is Image-Line’s FL Studio.
Yes…I agree that both adobe and autodesk are huge corporations and don’t give great support to their user base. I would love to see Zbrush sweep both markets.
Not familiar with upgrading suites as I just use Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
What I’d like to see in ZBrush is snapping, quad views, particle system, hair and fur, physics and full blown image editing.
Just noticed that Pixologic.com shows ZBrush4 Available Now! and a link to “What’s New in ZBrush 4”. Some info I am still reading, but wanted to let you guys know it’s there. Or, maybe it’s been there and I’m only now noticing it, but whatever, check it out.
If you haven’t seen this;
ZBrush 4.0 New Features Here;
Feature list is up but the site is moving slow: http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/features/zbrush4/overview/
EDIT: Hah, agentsmith beat me to it
EVERYONE I mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON on this forum is checking out the new zbrush feature page…I wonder how many people can’t see it cuz it soooooo slow. kindda funny actually, how a software can emotionally influence us in such a big way
Wow! You think that link is being hit smashed right now?! LOL! Talk about blowing doors down and melting faces!
Yeah I was like!! why is it so slow!! OH YEAH!!!
Me and my zbrush peeps are hogging up the flow!!!
Unleashed!
So… who’s gonna get the email
WOW!!! amazing stuff Pixologic rocks
Pixologic brings me Christmas early though I feel it more like a birthday present (I have 22 years and 5 days on them but still…)!
Calmasacow, appears the forum not believe in your words… like me. But we’re waiting for the source of your info. Or it was only your opinion?.
Respect the Autodesk subscription, I pay the Maya one, and could be well, but only the first year, when you access at all catalog of learning videos (thing that, by the way, Pixo offers for free too), besides, they neither offer a dirty pack of Hdrs or Textures, or a pack of vehicles… nothing. Pixo one more time offer a lot of stuff we can use in our pipelines saving a lot of time… free again.
I just awaken now. It is half past nine p.m. in LA.
Anyone has received the mail?
Taking a look at the new info now… and augmenting the expectation for the mail like consequence…
I’m in L.A. also, no email here. Mine usually shows up within 48 hours of launch.
I truly appreciate pixologic floating us so many free upgrades!! Project Messiah Group did the same for it’s users for years.
Can’t say I’m a big fan of the subscription set employed by autodesk.
I prefer to pay for an upgrade when I feel the need for it. Like modo, Photoshop and Painter…
Time!. Someone has received any mail?
Just got my email, downloaded it fluently, installed it BUT the activation screwed ( as usual with Cleverbridge)
I get this message :
There was an error emailing your activation key.
Please try again.
But I went to the support site to read this
If when doing a web activation you fill out the form, click the confirmation page and then receive a server error please do not worry. With the huge number of requests hitting the activation server all at once it is having difficulty keeping up. In this situation, the solution is simple:
- Click the Back button that will be displayed in the web page.
- The previous page should now give a message saying that ZBrush has already been activated on this machine. That’s what you want to see.
- Click the button below that message to resubmit the information and request your activation code again.
And it worked !!! after several times ! Thanks a lot !
Now ZBrush 4 is nicely installed on my computer. Just have to start digging ! Oh my God !!!
Michel
Good to hear the upgrade emails are rolling out!
Btw, the ZB4.0 Beta Testers Forum is now active!
