could you check the import export settings?

i have experienced this as well which is too nerve-wracking!
i’m a maya user, and i have tried what you said but it did’nt work!
actually it seems like there is no logic to that scaling issue which would ultimately make you able to achieve the original scale by some math operations as it affects a few subtools in one ZTL.
Thanik you pix. You are all awesome with your updates. Amazing news.
Best wishes and keep on keeping ahead of the rest
Great news!
But no GoZ for XSI? Even the creepy max has it now…such a pitty! I join the list of petitioners!

I wonder when we’ll start seeing details released? I’d be REALLY happy just to see a comment like “space navigator support now included”.
Wouldnt having GoZ fix the scaling problem if its loading in directly from another app on a 1:1 basis? Maybe I am missing the real issue here, but it sounds like it may be fixed if you use GoZ.
Even in the videos the scaling didnt seem to have a problem going from one app to the next. Just an observation but I dont know for sure if this is really whats going on.
Can´t wait!Can´t wait!
Yes this would be HUGE!!! I would love to be able to use my space plot pro with zbrush!
looking for Video Demos. keeping a close eye on this.
Go.Z for softimage would be nice!
Scale issue appears inside zbrush occasionally, from time to time. And if its real reason will not be removed, GoZ will not help, believe me. GoZ simply speeds up import/export zb features. But if export from zb will be with wrong settings, external application will receive wrong scaled meshes with wrong coordinates. That’s all. It will be fun if zb 4 will show one of its famous glitches during presentation at Siggraph.
P.S. And yes, GoZ without Softimage support - just a crime.
P.P.S. It’s very interesting, how much user suggestions from the “zbrush 4 wishlist” thread Pixologic took into account…
Oh my…yes…please make this happen.
Also can’t wait for ZB 4.0 … i also really hope you release OSX and Windows version at the same time…
If you take a look at the blog info for pixologic and who is going to be there at Siggraph this year it gives a few clues as to what may be coming in Z4.
Some sound very intriguing.
The following are quotes from that page.
http://ugm.pixologic.com/registration/Siggraph/
“Jelmer will be covering Functional Creature Design at Siggraph. Involving movement and motion into the design process. By using various layers/morphs, contact points and the newest features of ZBrush 4, he will show how you can start thinking about movement and functionality during the design process. Stimulating creative choices based on natural anatomical deformation. Opening up a world of options in comparison to clay design maquette sculpting.”
“He will focus on how to sculpt expressive, dynamic, and unique characters using the newest brushes as well as a new feature within ZBrush 4 that allowed Bryan to freely create more complex meshes.”
“At Siggraph, Sze will demonstrate hair sculpting techniques and workflow using new brushes and topology techniques as well as technical aspects for facial animation using an exciting new brush in ZBrush 4.”
“At Siggraph, Neville will be sharing his basic workflow as well as demonstrating his use of a new ZBrush 4 feature that allows freedom to create character expression.”
Cheers

I am definitely looking forward to this release.
This looks Great, however I can’t believe there wont be go-Z for softimage. That was top of my list.
I’ll believe it when I see it, I love Zbrush and I love the company but I’m not going to get excited until I seeee it.
these are great news!!! hope to see great things in there.
this is awesome news!!! cant wait to play
if it’s not something thats included in v4…than i hope it is in 4.1 or 4.5 or whatever…
we need a better representation of the perspective used in major 3d packages…
I’m sick of creating a sculpt in Zbrush and then when I transfer it to max it looks nothing like what I sculpted…
it makes doing likeness work a pain in the ass because while it might be a perfect replication in Zbrush, it ends up looking like someone else entirely in any other package…
Surely all you need to do is adjust your perspective amount. I normally set mine to a lot less than the default.
Okay, I really LOVE Pixologic, the revolutionary stuff that they bring out and updates & release price policy, but as far as the releasedate goes…
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
good joke! Good luck for everyone getting excited for that date
