WOW !!..U ROCKS MAN… I WISH I COULD JOIN YOU…
Thanks or forwoding
Ooh, good news. Here’s hoping for voxels! Just kidding (not really…).
So is there any official word on why there is no GoZ for Softimage?
I’d consider buying Z4 with that feature for such a great piece of software - but that it is not supported is a real bummer.
Pretty sure we won’t see Voxels in ZBrush for a while… definitely not in 4.0… maybe 4.5?
I’m more interested in seeing stuff like paint layers, better retopo (like 3d coat) and, um… well, all the stuff 3.5 windows users have!
I wonder if 4.0 is 64-bit? That would be pretty cool.
I would like to see not only re topo tools, but the ability to transfer detail from the high poly model to the new mesh. Basically combine 3d coat and topogun.
You have 26 days. Go.
Awesome, thanks for the tip ambient-whisper!
I guess this time it will be basic animation features and advanced texture painting options. for texture work they have already announced Spotlight and Lightbox. ZSketch skinning is voxel based. Perhaps Zsketching will be developed to look and feel more like adding soft wet clay instead of strips of Zspheres. Retopology has to be improved and ideally made as simple as generating maps in UVMaster- a one click operation aided by basic guides; Perhaps using polypainted topology guides. I hope there are new innovative tools for texture, animation and retopology in Z4. There will be surprises; I am certain about that.
I get confused as yanks do everything backwards… is this 8th of September or 9th of August?
August.
It actually states the word August in the first post.
Yanks? Are you a Confederate soldier, sir? Or, a Red Sox fan?
Most likely British they call us that all the time.
Yeah, I figured. I was just being cheeky with the bloke.
Can any of the moderators tell me if this release will address 2 of the problems that plagued me today? I, like a dumba$$ neglected to do any incremental saves at work, and as i was getting ready to save and shut down, my ztl crashed and, of course, it would not load up again. So, tomorrow is going to be spent redoing what was already once done. My question is, can we expect, with this release, an autoback like 3DS Max? or perhaps the ability, like Max, when having a corrupted file being able to merge in objects from that scene into a fresh scene? Anything like that would be wonderful.
Secondly, can somebody pleeeease address the scaling issue? Even after coming to terms with the fact i lost my entire day’s work, I then faced the issue of my objects being imported into Max at a different scale and offset. I of course tried the various workarounds on some of the threads… but none of them correctly. Tomorrow is a new day. But either way, will these be addressed?
Thanks so much.

hey that’s great new Pixo!!! thnx
Ron
Those and the lazy mouse crash… one can only hope.
I find it funny that they have auto save on crash but it never works because all zbrush crashes are pretty much fatal… oh well, Pixos and their sense of humor
uhm…
about scaling and size…
could you check the import export settings?
i use zbrush with lightwave and cinema 4d and i never see scale difference from obj exported and obj imported.
is in max some setup about how to export or import Obj where you can set up a multiply factor?
There is well known and widespread scale issue, when zb spontaneously changes import/export settings, independently how they was seted up before.
probably i’m a lucky guy that from zb 2 to 3.5 i never found this annoying problem, or cinema4d and lw manage in a different way the import export of obj.
