please give us a Z4 teaser video,
just a short clip with a groovy FC Kahuna Track in the Background like you guys at pixoligic always do,
i luv them
Nice announcement, but this would be the first release date that you keep.
I prepare my mind to get it somewhere in september/october.
Hi, iâm a XSI user, too.
Why people is demanding XSI support for Goz?, i think that's simple; is not about a single click and voilĂĄ, it's about give the user the most efficient tools to make the work fast and efficient; that's what a program like Zbrush provide to other mayor tools, but why XSI, Lightwave and others are left out from the equation? Marketing purposes? Coding troubles?
I don't think that's an impediment to reach every user out there.
I think a multi-platform program could be better than give just everything to a few selected people. Just because Maya or Max is more mention around, that doesn't mean all the people use those tools in their main pipeline.
This is not a subject that it's been discussed today, it's something that's been around since old versions, the question is why Pixologic has done anything to give as a real answer about this.
Is not about making a roller-coaster trick to obtain the result we want, is about give us the tools to make the magic happens, at a great speed.
I'm looking forward to see how Zbrush 4.0 evolve. :+1:
Thanks for the info about âcurrent GoZâ functionality. I didnât realize how far along it was. Seems like almost there already! Nice!
THANK YOU, PIXOLOGIC!!!
This release fixes the long standing seeming disrespect to the Mac user base (unintentional, Iâm certain). Great public relations solution, guys!
The fact that Microsoft is now worth way less than Apple probably had little to do with this, but bodes well for future upgrades. Itâs about time that Mac is taken seriously by a company like Pixo. Pixoâs future may eventually depend on a strong and contented Apple user base.
The 4.0 release announcement shows the simple fact that clear communication and a date certain, works way better than no communication at all.
You at Pixo actually grew a pair. Kudos for finally standing up for you word!
I suggest you communicate with users in this manner from now on since ZBrush isnât the only game in town anymore with competing products attempting to steal away market share by expanding features and lowering prices as I type.
This is all good.
Iâm sure the lightwave GOZ issue is because newtek has been falling out of the game for years now, and Core has yet to see an official complete launch, a year and a half after people paid to get in on the ground floor.
So⊠does Pixo develop for lw 9.4, which if getting to be pretty old software now, or do they wait to see if core attracts enough new people to make it worthwhile doing GOZ for?
As a lightwave user, I donât blame Pixo at all. I didnât opt in to pay for the lightwave beta testing, and Iâm glad as hell I didnât.
Say whatever ya want about Pixo⊠they ainât newtek at least!
Please bring back zmapper. I miss generating my normal maps in zbrush
I agree with gromâŠi miss it too⊠and speaking of extracting texturesâŠi hope there will be an option to extract normal maps from visible subtools so that i don;t have to bake all of them separately like i have been doingâŠ
You can still generate your normal maps in Zbrush, in fact now (in the current version) it is integrated, higher quality, and even easier.
See the âWhere is ZMapperâ discussion in the Knowledgebase here: https://support.pixologic.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=39
Will⊠tsk tsk tsk
Did you forget to take the medication? AgainâŠ
Lemo
âŠcant believe with all the ⊠top artist which pixo constantly use for promo using xsi as and z brush it was not done

Great news! Please add me to the list of all who would welcome a 64bit version with GoZ for Softimage!
Sweeeeeeet! This is a free upgrade? Thank you Pixologic! Pixologic is one cool company!
Hallelujah!!
Is this going to be a full 64bit version on OSX?
Canât wait. Any plans on posting more preview images like you guys did when 3 launched?
I was wondering just yesterday !coolâŠ!!
Are you guys going to be doing a complete overhaul of videos for the ZClassroom along with everything else. Do I have to throw away all of my Gnomon, Scott Spencer, and Paul Gaboury Tutorials and DVDâs? ZBrush was hard enough to learn the first time.
Congrats Pixologic!
